Interesting call and you might well be onto something there. Parker is certainly enjoying a purple patch at the moment.

Nah I disagree. But what should be commended is his longevity and the way he's bounced back from losing to Whyte and Joyce.

He also has no power, is easy to hit and has been dropped multiple times. Like you said, I think he's a bit worn out. I reckon he's looking good rn more has to do with his opponents being old and/or shot more than him suddenly getting better. Too his credit, the new crop of heavyweights don't look very good, so he might be able to outbox the lot of them.

If he fight joyce, the result will still remain thesame. Styles make fight

Parker has done well against two top boxers that doesn't apply much pressure, I wouldn't make him a favorite against Dubois

We've no idea how much Joyce has left after two beatings from Zhang

But we don't know he's done either. Unfortunately the Chisora fight won't tell us anything. I think it's too early to completely right him off.

He's definitely the previous era, He's got a lot of wear on him .....................maybe he'll be more Bernard than Fernando Vargas (a youngster who peaked early) though

Parker may be the bridge between the dominant, aging men of the current era and the stars of the next but he is most definitely part of the current era.

I don't really buy that Parker wasn't ready. Had beaten Takam, Ruiz, Hughie Fury by that point and was WBO champ. I'd argue that both him and AJ have improved since, and that Parker's recent revival should out into perspective what a good win that was for AJ.

Let's also keep perspective here that his two big recent wins are over guys knocking at retirement's door with an average age of 40.

I'm not writing Joyce off, I'm saying that I don't think a rematch between Joyce and Parker is a foregone conclusion.

The difference is - Parker has clearly adopted an entire new style and approach

    After years in the wilderness

His young age gives him time to dominate a whole new era

Parker is a good world level operator, nothing more. He may pick up a strap once the big guns retire and if the upcoming talent fail to live up to their hype but unless the heavyweight roster seriously declines, he'll never be the best.
