Parker is right to not want to fight Joyce. Styles make fights, and Parker is tailor-made for Joyce. Parker is a come-forward fighter, which plays into Joyce's hands, as Joyce won't have to chase him. Add to that the fact that Joyce is bigger, stronger, tougher and has better stamina than Parker, and you've got a sure win for Joyce.
Parker has won fights doing for the majority of them, not sure what the hell VG is talking about. If Parker took that approach against Joyce he might well find some good openings given how aggressive JJ is, and the defense lapses he has quite frequently.
I don't really get the OP as I see Parker as more of a backfoot fighter but I don't think he's an especially good backfoot fighter: he scraped by Ruiz in New Zealand via controversial MD, who is highly susceptible to a good backfoot game. Parker couldn't beat AJ or even Whyte on his backfoot. Many if not most also thought that Chisora won the first fight: Parker's backfoot didn't look too good there either. Of all the opponents Parker has fought Joyce is most similar to AJ anthropometrically and 2018 AJ's jab (along with the bodyguard referee and Parker's psychological deficiencies) largely kept 236 lbs Parker under control won him the fight. I see the same result if Joyce fought Parker and Parker did too, hence the duck.
Absolutely not. Parker would make Joe the frankenstein monster look slower than he already is. Parker by late TKO.
Parker can fight on the back foot, no problem However after "dancing" around Joyce he will gas and get stopped Ref will jump in around the tenth Pitt he bottled it and took the money as id still like to see it
I wouldn't underestimate Parker. He is fast and agile. But he looked a little clunkier in his last match, against Chisora. On the other hand, Joyce has a bad defense, he gets hit a lot. But, he is the juggernaut, he isn't affected. So, Joyce wins this by TKO.
Parker is a decent boxer who can be a touch gun shy at times. He's tough with quick hands and some pop and although i'd lean towards Joyce winning it's not a forgone conclusion. He gets a ton of of stick on this forum but has only lost twice once to AJ in a disappointing fight where he could have had his Ruiz moment if he'd just let his hands go and a close decision loss to Whyte. Has several solid B level type wins just needs a big name scalp to potentially become in line for Usyk, AJ, Fury etc
Parker will dominate JJ in typical fashion. It will be a boring fight all the same. Parker is lightning quick and Joyce is one of the slowest heavys ive seen for a long time. Parker wins this by UD. .
I'm increasingly convinced that Joyce will wear Parker down and stop him late. Parker will probably quit on his stool tbh.
Parker's got a great chin, you don't take big whacks off AJ and Whyte and retain your senses without a great chin. AJ and Whyte definitely hit harder than anyone Joyce has been in with, so you could certainly say Parker's chin is more proven than Joyce's (and I would). What the OP is smoking with the "tougher" tag, I don't know - but then, it's just standard Joyce hype during the height of hype season. Parker's better proven, adaptable in approach and has an A1 chin - I doubt Joyce is stopping him if AJ and Whyte couldn't, so it probably comes down to points... And that's almost a foregone conclusion for Joe IMHO. It'd be interesting to watch, several different ways it could play out.
