Parker-Joyce off for now ... Joyce will fight someone else in July

    According to Frank Warren, Joseph Parker and Joe Joyce won't take place in July.

    Warren says the wife of Parker's trainer, Andy Lee, is pregnant and their baby is due the week they wanted to stage the fight. So Warren says Parker says he can't train (whatever that means).

    So Warren says a new opponent for Joyce for an early July fight will be announced this week.

    Warren says Joyce and Parker may fight in September.

    I've heard of fighters taking a fight WHEN their own child was due any day.

    I've never heard of a fighter call off a fight because his trainer's wife was due fight week. Babies actually aren't born the day they are due, usually. They can be early. They can be late. And I never heard of a fighter saying he couldn't train for the next five or six weeks because his trainer's wife is pregnant and expecting.

    Joseph Parker continues to be kind of a **** up.

    Zero chance they fight in September if they’re planning on giving Joe a run out in July. Looks like this has fallen through which is a shame as it was a cracking fight.

    Sounds like a silly excuse to me, this isn't a reason to walk away from an important fight.

    Unless the health of the wife and the baby are in question, I also think this is not good enough reason for cancellation. I’m very looking forward for the Fight!

    Is Parker serious? This is ridiculous.

    Get another trainer. This is the first time I’ve seen a fighter cancel a fight because his trainer is having a kid.

    And what? He’s trained by Andy’s wife?

    Not sure why it would be an issue although I rarely believe fish eyes.
    It's a shame because it's a decent scrap.

    Parker is garbage and lost the first fight to Chisora. I have tried to support him for years, but he isn't serious about his career or fans.
