It's good for Parker's career, he will avoid another loss.

Joyce will be ancient in a few years, it would be better if Parker fights him like in 2024 or 2025, he'll have a higher chance of winning.

truth more like Parker do not want 'multi Fight deal" sign to Warren. Then cover with pathetic excuse to cover up questioning of deal negotiation.

Cant train?... Wow, this one is right up there with the worst excuses of pulling a fight!

Joyce wins comfortably anyway, but still!!

Bugger. I was really looking forward to this one.

If Joyce fights someone else in July no way he fights Parker in September.

    Damn disappointing.

Joe Joyce is rated #1 in the WBO ratings. Parker is rated #2. This fight was supposed to be a WBO Eliminator.

The winner would get a shot at the Usyk-Joshua II winner within 12 months (or sooner).

Also, Joyce is the #2 WBC contender. Parker is the #3 WBC contender.

I have no idea why Joseph Parker would consider not fighting Joyce and go after a Whyte rematch instead (as someone in the thread brought up as an option).

If Joseph Parker wants a title shot, he'll get one if he beats Joyce. That's the quickest way to a title shot. Period.

Also, I have no idea why he wouldn't want to sign a deal with Warren, given Parker is part of the Fury team, Warren has done brilliantly for Tyson Fury and made him close to a $100 million.

Unless Parker just likes those easy Matchroom paydays against nobodies like Shawndell Winters, Alex Leapai and Chisora, I don't see how refusing to fight Joyce or refusing to box three fights with Warren benefits him.

Parker seems to enjoy playing DJ at Tyson Fury's victory parties more than he cares about boxing. Honestly. Or, maybe his role in international drug money laundering has taken off. Who knows. https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/cr...ash-for-drugs-but-was-never-charged-by-police

Boxing doesn't seem to be a priority, however.

Joyce should go after a serious opponent because he doesn't have any time to waste. Someone like Bakole, Zhang, Hrgovic would work.

Joyce vs Wilder would be a great fight. Parker is just in the way at this point.

    Seems like the same viewpoint.

Except Parker claims he's training now ... it's MAY by the way ... he wants an eight week camp ... which apparently he's already in training ... but Andy Lee's wife is due in two months (which is eight weeks) ... so he wants the fight in September?

    Again ... what?

Is he training or not? We're five months in to 2022. He says he's training. He hasn't fought this year yet. And he wants to push his first fight back to maybe September?

Does he need nine months to prepare? Other than DJing Fury's victory parties, and smuggling meth money for drug cartels, what's he got going on?

Are they waiting for Andy Lee's baby to be born so they can stash drugs in its diaper?

Get in the ring and fight.

    Jesus Christ.

What a wasted prime. He hasn't faced a ranked heavyweight in four years.

Maybe Parker and his team used the same method of picking fights that Wilder and his team used to pick theirs.
Wilder was offered unification fights for massive amounts of money, turned down. Whyte, Povetkin...we all know the ducks. Still he did beat the mythical monster of Ortiz
