Parker-Joyce off for now ... Joyce will fight someone else in July

I'm sure if, over the last few years, Wilder fought the Shawndell Winters, Alex Leapai, Junior Fa and Dereck Chisora ...

While Parker was fighting the undefeated Luis Ortiz for the title, the undefeated Tyson Fury for the title, Luis Ortiz for the title again, Tyson Fury for the title again ... and then Parker took Fury to court and won to force Tyson Fury to fight him YET AGAIN for the World Title ...

I'd have a different opinion of Joseph Parker and Deontay Wilder.

But this isn't about Deontay Wilder, is it?

It's about Joseph Parker saying he can't fight the #1 WBO Contender in an eiiminator because his trainer's wife is pregnant and there weren't enough "eight-weeks-for-camp" in the first nine months of this year for him to figure it out.

Hell, practically Joe Joyce's entire pro career has taken place since the last time Parker fought anyone with a pulse.

Trotting out names like Molina from fights SEVEN YEARS ago doesn't do anything.

Wilder has only been engaging in title fights for the better part of a decade and Wilder fought the best fighter in the entire sport, the World Champion Tyson Fury, three times in his last five fights ... and had to go to court the last time to force him to defend the World title against him again.

Joseph Parker hasn't fought for the world title once. Hell, he hasn't fought a live body in years.

Parker finally gets an eliminator against a ranked fighter after four years of floundering, and he pushes it away because his trainer's wife is pregnant?

You seem to want to change the subject to anything other than Joseph Parker blowing yet another opportunity, but hold Joseph Parker TO ANY standard, please.

If Frank Warren announced that Wilder and Joyce were fighting in an eliminator, and Wilder and Joyce stood on camera on global television nodding saying they were, and then later Wilder said he couldn't fight Joyce because Malik Scott's wife was pregnant ... the entire first page of this forum would be filled with threads mocking Wilder.

And Wilder's last fight wasn't against the unranked Chisora, because Chisora knocked him down the fight before, like Parker. Wilder's last fight was a war with the best fighter on the planet.

So hold Parker to the same standard you would Wilder.

 

He said he's training now.

Maybe it's a cultural difference.

In the US, male friends of pregnant women don't take two months off work before their friend's baby is born.

Dads with pregnant wives don't take two months off before the baby is born, either.

Sorry if that's common in the rest of the world and I was unaware.

But I don't think it is.

Chisora is not rated. Chisora has a dozen losses. Chisora has lost to everyone. This was supposed to be a world title eliminator between the top two rated WBO fighters. The winner gets a mandatory title shot.

Forget Chisora. The WORLD is sick of Chisora in main events. If there's a main event with Chisora in it, Chisora loses. We want to see fights where we don't know the outcome going in.
