They're not doing him any favours that's for sure. Duco's lack of experience is becoming very evident. Even if that press conference was done properly the timing of it, the location of it was amateurish. All the news in the UK at the moment is focused on the budget and it will be for the whole day, so nobody will know anything about this press conference outside of the hardcore fans.

If Duco had half a clue, they would of set the press conference at a location near a boxing event in the UK where there would of been loads of press already there and invited everyone over for this announcement. The press could of easily popped over to the venue and they would of gotten plenty of coverage from UK press.

 

This is the **** that you have to do when a ****en stiff as lowballing bigot, trinket belt who thinks he's champ and wants 90/10 revenue because his promoter knows Parkers worth. That must be the arrogant superior Blackman in Joshua coming out!

 

Most embarrassing promotional outfit I've ever seen. If I was a pro I'd rather have Kelly Maloney as my promoter ahead of that alcoholic twat Higgins.

You thought fat Mick Hennessy was bad with his non-promotion, YouTube PPV stream and 'Shades of Ali' meltdown... Parker, Barry and Higgins were like a high-school trio of students from the slow class delivering a PowerPoint presentation to their classmates.

Complete embarrassment, Eddie Hearn and Matchroom are on a whole different level of professionalism and finesse.

 

exactly right, Joseph Parker needs to take much more control of the situation, you hear fighters all the time say 'i leave the business to my team' well in this case his team are simply woeful... David Higgin's is a terrible salesperson, he clearly has no care for his own image as he shows every time the camera is on but he is actually slowly destroying Parkers, you cringe for Parker having to stand there with his belt while David Higgins auctions him off. It's just so obvious the guy is trying to make as much money out of Parker and the belt as possible.

I mean who announces to the press that their plan is to create some bad blood to make the fight bigger... you have manufactured beef between camps but come on... you dont tell people thats whats happening.

They may well get the fight eventually but it wont be because of any good work this clown has done... it will be because options across the division are limited and the belt.

Just embarrassing for Parker, if he gets the fight he better win for his own career because between this and 3 or 4 questionable performance on the bounce he reputation as a champion is taking a battering imo

 

Possibly the corniest press conference of all time and im not exaggerating, it came across like a jelous ex wife starting court proceedings to claim her husbands fortune while airing their dirty laundry in public. Parker always struck me as a classy guy before this press conference, but this was pure cringe and damaging to his image in my eye's. Its a shame because i don't think its something he would have decided to do on his own.

 

I like Parker but he seems pretty dumb and easily influenced to me. Clearly he should have taken offence at Higgins hysterical outburst at Peter Fury at the press conference but instead when interviewed he shrugged it off.

He also needs to change trainer.

 

He better leave Barry behind too...lol
