Why don't the IBF just make him mandatory then lol. Also, didn't Demsey McKean accept the fight last year? And Bakole isn't fighting Yoka now, so why not make that fight happen. Parker was never gonna accept, and he's gone the WBO route anyway so no surprises there.
Fighting Hrgovic is not a walk in the park. He is big, strong and has a fighter mentality. Yet it is still pathetic from Parker.

It pretty much says it all that a lot of fighters ducking a bang average Hrgovic who looked like trash in his last few fights. HW Boxing is a joke if we exclude Fury and Usyk.
Remember when it wasn't the norm to turn down fights? Marvin Hagler went through an entrie Top 10 to get his title shot. My favorite fighter David Tua would fight anyone. Lennox Lewis would fight anyone. The only one I see willing to fight anyone at HW is Usyk.
Huge surprise, but at the same time I should have seen it coming. Multiple upsets and surprises this year almost made me forget the pathetic state of the sport and heavyweight division in particular. I hope Filip lives up to the hype: he is stepping up directly from his C/D level wins to high/mid level contenders, bypassing gatekeeper level with no chance to settle in. He is either going to get verified Duane Bobick style or actualize his potential. Given what I've seen from him, the latter is more like it. He is big, strong, can fight tall. He has the timing and fine appreciation of distance. Granite chin, great punch. Foreman-esque right hook to the body; good left hook, great right hand. Euro style, generally speaking, throwing that 1-2 and a probing jab. That being said, all the fine ingredients can fall apart extremely quickly at elite level if they don't have the right catalyst.
Makes no sense. Who else is Paint Dry going to fight ? Chisora 3 ? Hughie Fury 2 ? Junior Fa 2 ? I thought this Parker v2 had some more ambition. Clearly not.
I knew Parker had no ambition once he mentioned that he would not fight fury. I would understand if they were family members but it sounds crazy to me that a top contender will refuse to fight the top guy cos they are friends
