Guys don’t want to fight good competition to get championship fights. They’ll rather just fight low ranked or compromised opponents and say that the champions are ducking them. The IBF is the one organization that actually enforces their mandatories no matter who’s the champion. Yet these guys don’t wanna risk losing.
Yep. This situation is shinging a bright light on how all these boxers are operating now. And it's sickening to watch. Ortiz went from "I'll fight anybody" to "I'm injured" within a day or two. Parker didn't even give a reason for him ducking. Most of the guys on the IBF list will do the same. And next week, Fury will duck the Whyte mandatory. It's all frustrating to watch as a fan of boxing.
It is all about the split rules between IBF and WBO No wonder no-one want to fight Hrgovic. He gets a huge amount of the split in $$$$$'s Just not worth it. WBO seems saner.
Half the division's balls have scattered like cherry blossoms in a stiff breeze in the face of Hrgovic. I'm not sure I've ever seen someone become a boogeyman to such an extent.
I don't blame Ortiz. He's ancient, got a sick daughter, and wants a bigger payday vs a more name opponent before father time takes everything away. The Martin win might get that for him. Fighting this guy offers no reward and medium risk. Is it really ducking for Parker too? Absolutely no one knows Hrgovic. Can he even draw flies?
True he harassed a Monster in Liston at a very young age until he fought Him.....People have to stop comparing this lot to the Heavys of Ali's era on quality and on Heart it's Chalk and Cheese really.!!!
I'm surprised Parker has refused to fight Hrgovic. First Ortiz now Parker. A fight against an unproven Hrgovic for a mando at the title. Does not make sense. Must be the money as some have stated but really, who has Filip beaten...
More than anything it is the SPLIT in the $$$$'s that is at issue here I can see now why so few want to fight Hrgovic
So parker also a coward, just like Ortiz. He should be dropped from IBF rankings. Gassiev won't duck hopefully.
King Kong has a broken hand. Joseph Parker didn't want to fight a complete nobody in a low money fight where Parker would only get 40% of the purse bid.
I doubt yoka is ready to fight hrgovic or anyone like him. Not that hrgovic is ATG, but I havent liked very much yoka, I dont rate him very much tbh. Well, it's not actually that I dont rate him, but I dont like his boxing. I dont think he belongs to the top of the HW division, at least not now.
