You are a good man but you are no longer elite level after this awful beating. Retire before you become a steppingstone for future prospects.
He didnt do too bad. Maybe if he dedicated himself to get into better shape hed rejuvenate his career.
It was fine, man. It was a great win by Joyce, but Parker had outlanded him up until the KO. If you're relatively light fisted like Parker, what can you do? An iron chineed engine is your worst matchup.
Not a fan of boxers retiring too early if they still have more to give. Parker is a good test for any of the upcoming prospects.
Parker can still compete I just dont think he should. He made a fair bit of cash, go enjoy your health and family while you can. It a brutal sport. Go run a boxing gym in New Zealand and stay close to the sport that way. He got beat up badly against Joyce, never had Joyce in any kind of trouble. He was just surviving. We’d never seen him hit the canvas like that before. He went down against Whyte but got up quickly again, and a flash knockdown against Chisora. But his eyes rolled over when Joyce slept him. He was done.
He still got rematches against Whyte or even AJ too make a few quid and I wouldn't rule him out against either of them.
He should definitely retire while he still has his health. He didn’t fight like a man, who was trying to achieve anything today and he’s already made a ton of money. His lack of hunger for the sport has been his biggest problem for years. That lack of hunger combined with his unwillingness to stay in proper shape caught up with him.
Thats what I don't really want to see, being a stepping stone. He has no real shot at any of the top fighters now. That was a lot of wear and tear on him today.
I thought he fought well but agree he needs to give it some thought. His best money fights are now what ... rematch vs Whyte? Or he could get fed to Jalolov, which I'd rather not see.
