Parker has approx 10 MILLION right now - and his health.

    Wouldn't you consider it?

    NO. For Heaven's sakes.

    1. He barely took damage in damn near all of his fights, including today

    2. There's still much money left to be made

    3. He can still be champion again and he has a big fanbase in NZ (I assume)

He's having his 2nd kid soon, why would he leave many many more millions on the table?

Absolutely fu**ing terrible option for him.

Should Leonard have retired after Duran 1 ?

Should Hearns have retired after Leonard ?

The man is a top five HW in his prime with ONE loss on his record and is the only man to have gone the distance with the current world champion.

Stay out of the advice-giving business, please.

Fine. Well - if he still has the hunger it is truly up to him.

    Adios.

He totally nullified Femi's right hand, shipped very little damage as a result, but where was the offense? I had it as a close fight and I think he wins it on his own home turf. The ref helped Femi and the judges were homers, so he has something to work with there. The Brit prospects will all duck him so who does he fight risk vs reward?

You're right - he may be avoided now - like Ortiz. Quite a long way back from this, possibly.

if money is all that motivates parker and not sporting acheivment then retire

but parker already has money /this is just more money

different people are motivated by different things most sportsmen have the mentality to be winners and want to acheive/ parker i expect is no different.

but parker looks like he balloons up between fights /get him back in the ring in the summer and keep his career on track.

i retired 15 years ago aged 37/ got bored and went back to work a year later / money lets you do things but you need things to occupy your mind and fill up your day.

    Thank you

Barry's plan of fighting on the back foot while trying to work from the outside was just mentally challenged.

Garcia could make the most of his fast hands and strong inside game.
Abel could work his footwork to aid in countering and ring command and distance.
Teddy Atlas could make his power more explosive and teach him better punch selection.
Pops Jenkins could teach him the catch and counter and flow from the counter to the front foot.

Barry's training got Joey P to the Takam fight. But poor strategy for each of the following fights is all Barry.

Poor Kiwi. He's taken this loss hard.

Parker's okay, he'll be back & there are plenty of good rebuilding fights out there for him.

Alex Leapai would be a good first fight back. Lucas Browne after that & he's back in business.

If Deontay can't get Joshua into a ring anytime soon, Parker would make a decent opponent for him.

Going the distance with AJ makes Parker a credible opponent for anyone.

If the top guys want to get a date with him though, they're going to have to pay.

I was about to predict that Parker will retire after Joshua loss but didnt wanna sound as hater tho.

Anyway its not a bad idea really,Charles Martin should of done it as well after Joshua payday.

Parker proved that he has chin and fought better defensively and will be hard to look good against,if they bring over some people to fight him to NZ then Parker is going to win all close decisions and make very low money compared to Joshua payday as well. Not exactly worth it.

On the other hand if Parker continues being so bang average and predictable offensively he might get robbed if he fights in the UK or USA rather than NZ ,for more money. After all i had Ruiz JR 7-5 beating Parker ,and dont forget that some had H.Fury winning as well,Takam is too small and featherfisted and gassed but he also gave parker trouble while losing 4-8 rounds but good effort.

And before some of you accuse me for saying that NZ gave Parker gift and will continue to do so , they do the same in UK,USA,Germany and so on,even the referee helps over there , so please.Thats the name of the game sadly.

Also one last thing , what makes u think that Parker or Ortiz or anyone coming off a loss that isnt a big draw can get in the ring with Miller,Pulev,Whyte and such. Those guys want BIG PAYDAY against Joshua , they dont want to lose or even worse-get robbed for 100k.

Parker and Ortiz are better than Miller, Pulev and Whyte IMO. Parker and Ortiz just lost recently. Miller is undefeated but has only fought Wach who isnt too bad but isnt right up there.

Do you think Ruiz would do better against Joshua?

I agree that Ortiz and Parker are better than those 3 mentioned but still Parker will not knock them out and will need a decision in the UK or USA.

Andy Ruiz Jr is very talented fighter but also very small and very fat heavyweight,he was getting knocked out vs AJ for sure.In shape Ruiz Jr isnt even HW or CW,he is LHW lol.
