I mean, we knew the Joyce fight was off because he said his trainer wasn't going to be available, or some such rubbish. Apparently they are trying to make the Whyte rematch...so he doesn't need a trainer to beat Whyte?

Too bad Parker-Joyce was an interesting matchup.

Sadly, it suggests that Parker isn't going to try to "force" his way into the title picture by capturing mandatory status. I also have to question the wisdom of cutting himself off from Frank Warren because a lot of Joseph's fans do seem to be in the UK and it also means he won't be considred as an opponent for Daniel DuBois.

What it does is secure the massive promotional power of Sky TV on the side of Parker.

Remember - Eddie Hearn built a lot of his success in the UK around Sky.

Parker has neither the heart nor the desire for the title, with him it's all about money...

Parker never said that, Warren did.

Joyce fights on BT and Parker fights on Sky neither promoter will likely let their man fight on the other platform.

it’s interesting at the minute as Sky have a very think stable and don’t have much to actually offer Parker. There’s talks of a dillian Whyte rematch who isn’t actually with Sky.

or the winner of fury/Hunter. Given no one wants the fury rematch and Hunter vs Parker is a massive risk to put on in the UK given both will be on high six figures and have no real profile in the UK in terms of ticket sales.

Dubois looked rubbish in his last fight, so no real loss there. I'd have rather seen him batter Joyce for 12 rounds.

Parker couldn't finish a light meal. Juggernaut would've battered him in slo-mo.

It this point I wish boxer like Parker to retire to make room for some other fighter, who actually have heart of a champion, but don't have enough recognition.
