Parker a skilled pressure fighter? His two worst performances were Cojanu and Fury where if he were a decent pressure fighter he'd have known how to cut the ring off and trap them. He looks horrible going forward.
Can’t wait for AJ to KO Parker, so the idiots on here will realise they need to follow another sport.
He was around this weight vs Martin and Brezeale also. He was cagey vs brezeale which is why it went late but he didnt lack power in either fight
Parker seemed small vs. Hugie Fury. Only the fact that Hugie was so inept helped Parker. I think Parker will find out making mistakes vs. Hugie is another thing than making mistakes and getting punished for them by AJ.
These guys are conveniently forgetting Joshua was held back by the ref with a stunned Breazeale in round 2,and the bell saved him from a muggin in that round. They also ignore Takam was battered with minimal punches of around 20 landed on Takam in round 4....the bell probably saved him too.... Point is Joshua has the ability to put pressure on when he wants and end fights...that includes the laughable round 10 incident with Takam getting buckled all over...AJ was completely on top of him.
Since when did ‘big’ in boxing mean ‘tall’?? This isn’t basketball. Hell even in basketball I think there’s an appreciation for the usefulness of size and bulk. There is a freakin 6lb difference between in-shape Parker and in-shape Joshua. 6 POUNDS. A good **** and a session in the sauna.
Parker had "surgeries" to quote Kevin Barry at the final press conference, just before Christmas? That's a game changer for me. Parker has apparently been in camp for 11 weeks? That didn't leave much time for proper recovery from the "surgeries".
With the size difference being so great, there is only 6 lbs. difference...................that surprised me a lot. Joshua looks so much bigger than that and Parker is not fat..................don't know enough about Parker to make a real prediction, but everyone expects a total mismatch in favor of Joshua, odds show this fight as a total mismatch, Parker has zero chance, however, odds are sometimes wrong. I can predict the winner after the fight is over 100%, always right post-fight! Right now I expect Joshua to win the fight, but you never know in boxing...........
Lol Yeah, I agree Parker is a live underdog and I've said so from day one, I still believe Joshua wins but I just wouldn't be surprised if Parker pulls off an upset. I can't make my mind up if the weight will add or take away from AJ, I do believe it will help his stamina but the power and weight of his shots might suffer a little bit. One thing people keep saying is AJ wants to be lighter, quicker and move more so does that mean he won't be sitting down on his punches as much? I can see a jab fest for the first few rounds, AJ has been mentioning Klitschko quite a lot recently, he has him on his mind so I wouldn't be surprised if we see some type of WK tactics, jab jab jab, just use his reach and size and break Paker down with a jab. I don't see this as an explosive fight early.
AJ has a very narrow torso, no waist, thin legs (albeit he doesn’t skip leg day- so he has muscle on the thin legs). Hence why he isn’t all that heavy despite his massive arms, chest, shoulders, height. He isn’t really naturally ‘big’ beyond height.
Big Baby Miller is an example of someone who is really BIG and people here just make fun of him for being fat. It’s like ‘big’ has a different definition here.
