Anyone know if there is anything legitimate about the rumors they will face off later this year for IBF positioning? The sad thing is that eliminator fight would be a vastly more legitimate title fight that the Glazkov Martin farce.
It would be a good step up for Parker. I'd back him against Takam. If he wins that, hopefully he'll jump over Joshua in the rankings and become IBF mandatory. If that were the case, I'd pick him against either Glazkov/Martin in a title fight. Parker becoming champion by the end of 2016 is a very possible. Would be great to see.
I believe Glazkov vs Martin winner have to defend the title against a mando in 6 months as it's a vacant title - that means Parker might get a shot in summer.
This fight is about POWER and the ability to walk through the other's shots. This is the advantage Parker has in this fight. Watch and see. Parker inside 6. -Kiwi
Takam KTFO Parker in 4 :deal Glazkov gets robbery decision against Martin likely even hitting the canvas but wins... then gets same against Takam... Glazkov IBF Champion for years... :happy
You might be selling Takam short here a bit, remember he was able to go almost 10 rounds with Povetkin. Parker definitely has some pop and he might be able to lay Takam out in that span if he finds the right shot, but I'm doubtful. It might be a while before Parker is able to utilize his power to it's full extent at the top level.
So it's impossible for a fighter to overcome a loss and improve? Henry Armstrong must suck. He lost to Eddie Trujilo!
Takam is not as powerful as Parker in his punches. That is the game right there, in my view. A great matchup for both, really. Excellent fight. -Kiwi
