How many rounds would Parker last against AJ? I think he would be lucky to see the 4th I would say a second round strong knock down late 2nd and then AJ to finish the job in the 3rd.

Good fight we wont know until they get it on.Put a question mark on both these guys.

Joshua has the power advantage. But Parker has shown versatility he can box, punch or brawl if need be.

He will only get better with age.Right now Jushoa has a slight advantage. But this Parker kid can close that gap in a hurry!

I don't think Parker has the right style to overcome Joshua, based off what we have seen.

Parker proved he is world class tonight and has a better resume than Joshua but in terms of style Joshua has the edge for me. Parker is too easily countered and while he was able to out box the smaller Takam that's going to be harder to do against the taller, rangier Joshua.

Joshua has struggled with movers in the past and I don't think Parker has the jab or movement to do that against Joshua. His best bet his to get off first and be aggressive which leaves him open to be countered against a rangier opponent. Parker also lacks the stamina to apply consistent pressure on Joshua and in the moments where he rests is where Joshua will dominate from range when he's allowed to press the fight.

But with 2 punchers anything can happen but Joshua has the edge at the moment. I think Parker needs more time to mature, his biggest problem maybe his lack of a top trainer, he has the talent but needs to be shown more than what Kevin Barry can teach him.

Both guys don't have the best stamina. Parker has the better chin, doubt Joshua would beat Takam at this point.

Parker needs to stay away from bangers for a while imo. Takam, although risky in that he was a big step up, was pretty much ideal for JP, stylistically.

Lol AJ would have torn Takam apart tonight, I would argue Dillan Whyte could have got a decision against this version of Takam.

Takam lasting more than a couple against AJ is more than wishful thinking, it's delusional A+ vs small C fighter. If you cant see the drastic difference in talent and every attribute in between power and technical skillz, i don't think you could ever be helped

Joshua would be a heavy favourite but I wouldn't write off Parker, he showed real grit at times tonight and dug in when he needed to, I thought Parker was completely gassed a couple of times but he kept going.

Joshua had his test against Whyte and passed and Parker has his against Takam and passed.

Parker has quick hands, can punch, solid enough chin, has a good jab when he actually uses it and looks to have a decent enough boxing brain. I thought he handled the last 4 rounds very well, although Takam did next to nothing at times Parker still had to manage them. I think Parker will improve after tonight and he will have to.

I think Joshua Vs Parker is a very good fight for early next year.

Joshua had troubles with the movement of Jason Gavern. Takam is experienced, has good movement and his chin is granite. Joshua is a stiff robot who isn't made to box for 12 rounds.

:rofl Parker proved he is world class against a european level fighter?!Why, because he's not a fat lump and can throw combinations?! And better resume?:rofl Parker failed to get a medal at the commonwealth games and didn't qualify for olympics and has fought NO ONE unless you think Kali Meehan 6 years after his last big fight (lost to Chagaev) or giving Brian Minto his 8th loss -great resume!

Anyone who thinks this guy can last more than 4 rounds with Joshua is high. Once Parker gets hit its over. Dillian Whyte would beat him let alone Joshua. In fact I think he will fight Whyte after being KOed.

This is another sacrificial lamb like Charles Martin. The only live fights out there for AJ are Ortiz, Haye, Wilder, Povetkin (off drugs) Klitschko and Fury. Maybe Sitverne.

Therefore there will be a bunch of sub -world level fighters like Brazeale, Parker and [insert NYC accent]"Eddie Hearns" has all but confirmed AJ will fight 2 US based fighters of this level on Showtime( Molina/Scott/ Tarver) before Showtime PPV against Wilder probably.

I'd like to see AJ against Stiverne/Ortiz but I think they are much higher risk fights with little financial reward so no business sense.

So my prediction is Brazeale, Parker, Molina, Tarver or Jarell Miller or Jennings, then Wilder on PPV. Then Fury or Haye.

Yeah, it's right up there with McCall's chin.

(Apart from when he got KOd by Povetkin).

An unusually informed and good post by the standards of this forum.
