As far as I remember, there was a second purse bid which Hennessay Sports won for $3M.

    Ahh OK, thanks for that.

Well either Hennessay is going to make a huge loss and end in trouble OR he rates Hughie so highly that he thinks Parker is a soft fight and he is buying the belt to create huge paydays down the line. I think the former.

Slight correction, it wasn't actually a purse bid. Duco and Hennessey negotiated the second fight between themselves, with the result that Hennessey is guaranteeing $3 million for the right to make and host the fight. So it works out the same basically.

And yes, I think he's going to make a huge loss.

If Parker can maintain his gas tank and cut the ring well he'll win. If his stamina issues are still there then it's gonna be a tough fight for him.

This goes 12 rounds and goes to the cards.

Hughie is just as elusive as the Romanian sparring partner who took Parker 12 rounds but far more active.

Parker is going to need to out hustle Hughie and win more rounds, as this is guaranteed to be a 12 rounder. That is what Parker managed to do against Ruiz Jr, winning by a round on my card.

If we're being honest he will need to win 8 clear rounds in the UK to get a decision though.

While I've never agreed with fighting in the opponent's back yard, Parker is holding a couple of aces that may yet get him home despite everything that's gone on.

The first is he's a better fighter than Hughie. In terms of winning, that's a start.

Secondly, he's gone balls to the wall a couple of times (Takam & Ruiz) and come out the other side. Hughie's inactivity needs to be taken into account here as well.

Parker also has a couple of different ways he can win.

Either light Hughie up like a Christmas tree or dig in and out-work him over the distance.

Fury on points or late stoppage.Parker looked terrible in his last fight one paced brawler .Fury is faster and a better boxer.he should win quite easily.I dont get the fuss about parker he is nothing special.

    PARKER's TRAINER-
"We've probably been a little bit patient in the last two fights," Barry said in reference to Parker's wins over Razvan Cojanu and Andy Ruiz Jr.

"We won't be seeing that in this fight. Everything we've trained to do during this camp is about letting the hands go.

"Joe's the bigger-punching guy, physically he's more powerful than Hughie, he's battle tested, and we're going to be testing this guy's chin out very, very early in the fight.

Parker has to get a knockout to get a draw. He can't win a decision in the UK...........................that fight is a flop, should have had it in Australia............
