Sure it sells out Cardiff Stadium for 80000 but Could it sell out the Copperbox on a cold wet Friday night?
yeah i thought he was still in that watford flat. i reckon if he withdrew his earnings in cash it would fill that flat from top to bottom. funny really
Interesting. Higgins and Parker looked nervous as hell and out of their depth. This could tell come fight night. Parker's going to burn a hell of a lot of nervous energy and that could have a big say in the outcome of this fight. I like Kevin Barry though, he spoke far more confidently than Parker or Higgins. McCracken was good as well.
Being nervous in press conference says nothing about how a fight's going to be though. Even feeling nervous when walking into the stadium means nothing. That's normal. It's the moment just before and the moments after that opening bell that matter.
Eddie is fake as hell lol..Constant back handed compliments then bigging them up in the next breath..He thought Higgins would brick it saying stuff to Joshuas face, well he repeated it all imo
No, I'm pretty sure he said the only heavyweight unification fight between two reigning champs ever in the UK (which is correct, I think) .... and the only heavyweight unification fight ever between two undefeateds (meaning anywhere, presumably, because if he meant UK the first statement would have made it redundant to say so) ... ... he repeats it in the interview above with Kugan Cassius.
A great presser all up. Yes - the boys from New Zealand were a little nervous. But Parker looked confident to me - about beating AJ.
Joe and Higgens were slightly nervous, not to do with confidence in the fight or anything - more about the presser itself. Everyone were a little bit out of synch and not sure where to go with things and Hearn was basically getting a little nervous and trying to stir the pot and get some banter going - basically Parker is normally respectful and Joshua was more respectful than Higgens was banking on in regards to his responses. They had all set up for a situation that the fighters involved aren't really naturally inclined to bank on and it made it all a bit awkward. When it came to facing off etc Joe looked FAR more comfortable, AJ probably much of a muchness as well - if anything he looked a little more off his normal beat... not saying he is rattled either, just not quite sure what to make of the whole thing. I wouldn't be surprised if that now everyone have been face to face that everyone reset and approach the next one a little more fluidly.
Wilder fighting Ortiz and Joshua fighting Parker is a major risk to the biggest fight that can be made in Boxing right now, Joshua/Wilder. One of them is gonna end up losing one of these fights. I think we're gonna have another Yuriorkis Gamboa vs. Juan Manuel Lopez on our hands here. Where they hype up a mega fight and one of them loses and the excitement dies out before it comes to be
Im not worried at all about Higgins and Joes talking in the presser. Its the performance in the ring that matters. There was a moment there where I sensed Hearn was derailing the presser from everyone being all respectful, and wanted Higgins and Joe to go back to being the trash talkers. Higgins sought to clarify that the trash talking wasnt trash at all but a mere analytical focus in Joshuas weakness. Make of that as you will. Joshua with plenty of kind words. How can you not like Joshua? Really nice guy. He said, and I believe he would, fight Joe in the carpark for free. Higgins missed the oppertunity to ponce and get back at his buddy Hearn by bringin up the split.
has anyone bought tickets for a recent Joshua fight? What are the chances of getting them on general sale?
