Joking aside, I don't think Ruiz weight is a good sign for the single reason he pledged to come in lighter than previous fights. His weight would be just fine if he'd talked about training in the same way and had planned to come in at 255. But Abel talked about 244ish. I seriously think he's a guy who needs to be constantly monitored with regards to what he eats and for Abel to give him two weeks in New Zealand when he was not watching over him might have been the 'burger window' Ruiz was looking for.

As for Parker, I assume he's come in bigger to deal with fighting such a heavy opponent. In fact, the only defense I can give Abel and Ruiz is perhaps they were playing a game of double-bluff and were always planning to come in heavier hoping Parker would not bulk up. If that's the case, it didn't work.

Strong ****ing gyno from Parker. Has he had this throughout his career?

Thought the same thing, never noticed he had gyno before but the lighting was making it really obvious.

Ruiz looks the same as he does for all his fights. I don't know what people were expecting.

This is an easy night's work for Parker. Ruiz has no business fighting for a title. And I've never understood why people say he's got "fast hands" or he's got "speed."

Ruiz got outboxed by Sergei Liakhovich for god's sake. How fast can he be?

He's just an average heavyweight. He always has been. Parker has already beaten better fighters.

This is going to be one-sided and won't take very long. That's the way it was always going to be.

Ruiz is an average heavyweight with a good promoter. That's all.

Anyone who thought he was anything more than that was just kidding themselves. He's shown nothing in the ring to prove otherwise.

The rule of thumb for heavyweights is if a guy has a weight problem at the start of his career ... he always will.

Heavyweights get heavier as they age, not lighter.

Even Fatlonier Solis was half a stone lighter when he fought Vitali. Surprised Ruiz Jr didn't blow his knees on the scales. Lol. What a farce of a heavyweight title fight.

Do you think today's HWs are bigger than HWs in Lewis's time?
