LOL at anyone who thinks that was a dive. The top of the head is a vulnerable part of the head--just like the temple area and the back of the head. The only part of the head that is more resistant to trauma is the forehead area because it is much thicker. Trust me, that shot landed right on the crown of the head and it landed hard as fuk. Take something heavy and drop it right on top of your head and then tell me how you feel. Some of you guys are complete morons.
I've watched the knock down again and again on slow mo, cannot see any punch landing buddy, at best it might have grazed Tupou, now given this fact I'd say anybody who discounts simulation is the 'complete moron.'
Then why don't you turn the volume up on whatever potato of a computer you are using to watch the fight and then 'listen' to the punch. The punch lands flush on the top of the head. Some of you guys and your conspiracy theories...SMH
There is no "conspiracy theory". Tupou dived so he wouldn't get hurt and he could get his bundle of salmon early.
He clearly dived because he legs couldn't hold him up. Some ****** turned them off with a stiff punch to the top of the head
Every time a heavyweight gets stopped by a blow that doesn't look to land absolutely flush there is someone pushing the angle he took a dive. These guys are 220 pounds plus. Spend their entire lives smashing bags and people and as a result learn to hit fooking hard. They don't always need to land their sledgehammers flush to stop opponents. Heads aren't made of concrete. But from some of the comments I read I sometimes wonder if some are.
Let me clear up any debate about the shot hitting him being hard enough to knock him out. It made a very loud thud sound when it connected. And I doubt they have sound effects pumped in.
Joe Parker has confirmed after the fight he landed to the temple and if you watch the slow motion replay you can see the punch deflect as it lands. Parker loaded up a bomb and though it didn't land as well as it might have it did knock Tupou out. Waste of time dissecting it any further really. But I'm willing to bet the conspiracy theorists amongst us will waste their entire day trying to.
Parker is one of the hardest hitting heavies in the game.... His power is scary. He has good technique as well unlike some of the other new heavyweights who are touted as big punchers.
Parker is already one of the best HW's in the entire division let alone the best up and coming prospect. He's again been asked by Wlad to help him prepare for his next fight. It's clear Wlad rates him highly himself.
