Threads like this really highlight how out of touch some people are when it comes to boxing. Boxing is the hardest sport in the world and HW boxing is even harder than that. Parker is a live dog against Usyk and so is any other Top 10 heavyweight. Even the bodybuilder is always dangerous against Usyk even though he gets handily outfoxed and boxed. Usyk has played his hand to perfection. Get in. Get a payday. Get some belts of the bodybuilder then go for the ultimate test in Fury, win lose or draw then retire. 31 year old Parker who is active, on form and hungry is a dangerous man. He has a granite chin. He is strong in every area APART from when he is getting pressured by BIG men, his gas tank fades and he turns conservative. Styles make fights. Martin Bakole could chin AJ and Usyk on his given night and he's a fringe Top 10 HW. Agit Kabayel is 10-20 heavyweight but he's still a dangerous man. AJ can knock out a horse and so can Wilder. Usyk could box his way around Muhammad Ali blindfolded. Tyson Fury can find a way to win a fight whilst blind and one hand tied behind his back. Zilly Zhang Might hold the quickest and most powerfull counter left in HW history. 300 pound titans. These guys are killers. Al of them are absolute killers in their own regards and not a single one of them should be underestimated or written off.
It's a terrible stylistic match for Parker, the only route here is if Usyk gets old suddenly. Parker will obviously lose a technical boxing match and may even get stopped late due to fatigue (very tiring fighting Usyk as he's always moving and has high volume), and the puncher's chance isn't so high because although Parker has better power, it's not one punch KO level.
Horrible take. Usyk KOed Dubois with a jab and won every round. This fight has Usyk UD written all over it.
Usyk by schooling obviously. This isn't remotely intriguing as a match up. Put Parker in with beatable guys like Ajagba, Bakole, Ruiz, Whyte or even Zhang (I think stylistically Parker can make this a really competitive fight).
Wide UD for Usyk, it’s a bad bad style match up for Parker, and pretty much anyone else in the division.
Usyk did much better against common opponent Joshua. Parker performed marginally better in the second Chisora, but lost the first. There is no metric by which Parker won the first...it wasn't even close. Nor did Usyk really do that bad---he outlanded Chisora in 9 of 12, with one being even, and staggered him in the seventh. What you are talking about is some very bad officiating. I like Parker, but he would be much better off waiting until Usyk retire to contend with Joshua and Hrgovic for vacant belts.
anybody with pulse could chin Fury on given night , he has amir khan’s chin and that’s being fair to Fury.
Usyk would win but Parker would have his moments, he is fast and skilled, in any case an interesting fight...
Usyk 12 round shut out. Ok maybe Parker edges a couple of rounds but it's not an interesting fight. Parker is one of the easiest heavyweights for Usyk style wise.
The Fury v Usyk match up will be telling, on form Usyk should box rings around Fury for a easy points win but if Fury wins it sort of throws ???????????? through the whole division.
Usyk and Fury won't be available again until Christmas next year or even early 2025, unless Usyk wins in dominate fashion and Fury doesn't worry about a rematch and just retires. If Fury wins the first one 100% Usyk will want a rematch.
