I don't condone those tactics but this is the fight game and if a world title opportunity presents itself you have to be ready and waiting to take it.
There's countless examples of guys taking fights on much lesser notice.

Chris Byrd accepted a fight with Vitali on EIGHT days notive. And WON!

If Takam stylistically is an easy fight for Joshua how can he be considered a challenging fight for Joshua as well?

People have criticised Joshua's performance vs Takam even though he won almost every round, yet simultaneously praise Parker's performance vs Takam.

Who took the greater risk fighting him?

Wilder beats Parker easier than Joshua. Reason being I truly believe Wilder hits harder than Joshua, I also believe both Wilder and Joshua don’t have the best chins but out of the two Joshua has been put down more. The reach is gonna be Parker’s biggest issue both guys basically got him by 5inches. They both got pretty damn good power but I rate Wilders higher. Other than Parker’s ability to take a punch what does he bring to trouble either man really?

    Yeah some good points there.

In regards to power and based on what I've seen from the three, I'd rank it the same as you have. However, we know what they say about the heavyweight division - 'it only takes one punch' and if we look at each fighters youtube highlights, they all have some devastating knockouts to certify them as bonafide KO artists. Any of the three can knockout each other but for me, it really comes down on who can connect more or clean or both.

Reach is a good point you raised because Joe doesn't really fight inside.

Joe has shown a better chin in his big fights and throughout his career, but like I said before, any of the three can knockout each other.

To answer your question - Joe has speed as well. We haven't seen that speed stand out in his last fight but it is outstanding speed for a heavyweight and whilst 'all 3' are fast, AJ and Wilder will be aware that Joe brings probably more speed than anyone they've faced so far. Speed, decent chin and ability to KO them is what Joe brings.

'Following his first defeat, Byrd reeled off five wins by way of knock-out before gaining a late call to challenge WBO champion Vitali Klitschko in Germany following the late withdrawal of “Razor” Ruddock.'

I got the call on the Thursday, left for Germany on the Sunday so I only had three days of training at home and a few days there in Germany to prepare it was like a whirlwind"

Describe for us what it was like when you found out you would be fighting for the WBO heavyweight title against Vitali Klitschko in April 2000 at very short notice.

CB “It was like 9 (days), it was incredible. I had never seen Vitali Klitschko fight in my life. I’d heard of Wladimir Klitschko and he was one of the ’96 Olympic gold medallists and he was tall. His brother, I’d just heard about because he was foreign and only fighting in Germany"

If I could please interrupt here and add in my 50 cents lol. Nah good question here thats got me thinking.

I just wanted to mention the three champions opponents that I thought would have really added to the array of styles each fighter has had to deal with. Whyte for Joshua, Fury for Parker and probably Molina for Wilder. Obviously its not their hardest fights but it's styles that, in my observation, had them working.

Parker should beat Wilder, but Wilder refused to fight him, so we won't know..................if Parker were to beat Joshua, then we all know Wilder will never come near him....................Wilder is finally stepping up by fighting an over the hill Ortiz who is probably 50 years old, but Ortiz could still beat Wilder. Wilder is counting on Ortiz being old, with no stamina, slow, but he might get fooled......................we will see.................VADA and WBC saved Wilder from Ortiz so that Ortiz would get even older and more inactive...................will Wilder require Ortiz to drink several bottles of wine before the fight, not train and live in an alley?!
