Well, Ryabinsky has said, that he will cut paying big sums of money for the fight, like for the Klitschko fight.
Wasn't Wilder slated to make more for defending against Povetkin? Seems like a fair amount for a defending champ going to his opponent's backyard.
He bid 23 mill for the Wlad fight, that's nothing like the 7 mill he bid for the Wilder fight or what he would be paying for a Parker fight. 4 mill seems a reasonable amount if Parker could get 1.5 mill for Fury he should get more than that for Povetkin who's a bigger name and bigger draw. Even if paying that much cut into Rabinsky's deep pockets it would mean a clash with Joshua later down the line and he'd make his money back and more, so it would be a prudent investment. But I'm sure Povetkin draws enough to cover Parker's purse he fights in big arenas in Russia so he must be a decent draw.
Ryabinsky is a billionaire but I get your point but he said, no more, so don't expect anything like the bid for the fight with Klitschko.
"Yes, we had talks with the Povetkin team, we are interested in such a fight. When and where it is possible to organize such a fight? In any place and at any time in the event of an appropriate monetary reward, "Higgins said.
