This is a fight where BOXING ANALYSTS can show their face. Both men look to have good fundementals...but neither have really pushed on that frontier of top level opponents...this fight pushes the winning man into the forefront. WAR FURY. I think it's a good fight...hard to judge.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Parker shines against guys with little pressure or power. Parker's output dwindles when he's worried about getting hit. That won't be a problem against a feather duster like Fury. I also have questions about Furys heart and resolve.
Parker will be lucky to will 4 rounds at best... with hometown judges Fury is the far more skilled boxer
All this talk about power discrepancy and Parker walking through Hughie sounds good superficially, but may be a big misjudgment. Hughies power is comparable to Ruizs, and Parker couldn't walk through him. Hughies size and skills add another layer of challenge there (because no, I don't think the Dimitrenko fight shows Parker is some kind of giant killer). Anyway, Parker deserves to be a slight favorite based on resume, but I think it's a 60/40 fight.
Hughie is a very good boxer. He was sick, but if he is well, Parker could be in trouble..................Hughie will have a hard time getting a decision, don't see him knocking out Parker.............do not underestimate Hughie............Hughie would beat Wilder, no doubt about that.................
I heard Wilder offered Hughie not one but two fights at two different times and twice Hughie turned him down. Im not sure of Hughies circumstance at the time as I know he does have an obvious skin condition. Also some say it was more than twice that Hughie declined Wilders offer to fight.
