Think Eddie has dibs on Parker for DAZN. So I've read anyway, don't think Eddie will be too bothered who wins.

I really like Parker, just seems a really likeable guy so hope he wins just based on that. I also don't want to see a AJ Whyte rematch. Apart from round 2, it was AJ hitting Whyte at will but gassed himself out after 3 so had to endure a painful few rounds to watch.

Parker will Parker Whyte this Saturday, that is, he'll come forward throwing blistering but predictable combos, turn Whyte's head around numerous times, get countered a few times, and probably end up winning a closer than necessary decision.

    I like both fighters.

They both have good power but other than that Parker edges out Whyte in every category ....speed, chin, defense, accuracy....

Parker should come out on top via UD in a competitive fight.

The Chrisora fight was not a robbery. It was a close fight which could have went either way or ended in a draw, I had white up by a point. Parker has to press the action, he won’t get a decision fighting like how he fought against AJ. He needs to let his hands go and he should get the victory, I don’t think he will coz he is a cautious fighter and he doesn’t seem to like to trade.

Whyte doesn’t have the better jab, joes jab is quicker, straighter even Larry Holmes is impressed by it, however Parker isn’t consistent with the jab. Parker throws better combinations than Whyte and has the quicker hand and feet. Whyte for me is the better body puncher, he is way more game 5han Parker and puts it all on the line whereas Parker doesn’t seem to want to risk it all in fights. I got Whyte by SD or a draw it will be a tight tight fight imo.

I disagree. Parker's jab is fast but it's a nothing punch, he only uses it to distract or set up other punches, it's also a horrible tell, Parker feints the jab, you know he's coming, it's why he's so damn predictable and so easy to counter. If he committed with the jab more it would be a better jab but he doesn't.

Whyte will get knocked out again IMO. In the later rounds I reckon with the fight being fairly close.

Please refer me to the fight where Whyte was throwing jabs which rocked the opponents head back? Parker beat Ruiz through his jab, I can’t think of one fight where Whytes jab was the key to his victory. I agree he doesn’t use it as effectively and consistent as he could but the speed and snap of his jab still makes it better, when Whyte jabs he stomps his lead foot to try and get some power but you can tell his technique is still lackin

Well, exactly. He doesn't use it as well as Whyte. A jab isn't rated on its speed and snap, but on its application. Parker doesn't really use his jab to set up anything. If anything it's a huge tell for his opponents that he's about to throw a combo. Whyte at least uses his jab to keep distance and create scoring opportunities.

He really seems to have more resolve this time through, a thing which has seemed a bit missing - he's put himself into too much of a "Dance, ******, dance" position for a long time... I've been concerned about it since before some of his less spirited performances, now he's acting like he knows he has the experience etc to not act like a newb apprentice. I think if he trusts himself to make mid-round adjustments which may deviate from the fixed plan, but suit the moment - then he will step out of the crack hes seemed a little stuck in.

I think, and hope this fight will start a new chapter to JP

    Agree with you, Lith.

I really think he has something to prove - and will turn a corner with this fight.
