I think they will probably never fight but I wouldn't favor Parker his accuracy is poor and he continues to show that. He couldn't even land on Hughie when he was just Leaning on the ropes. Against a big puncher who can throw combos. he's going to be in trouble which is why he won't make it to Wilder when he fights Joshua. I do think Parker could last 12 with Wilder .
Too Savage of a fight will never happen. They will allow pit bulls to fight on tv before this fight gets made
Parker would tear through Wilder and make him look like the hype job that he is. People are quick to ascribe all sort of faults to Parker without taking into account the even more glaring faults in Wilder: the wildness and sloppiness, the reckless way he launches himself into shots, the poor control of distance and lack of ring control. Parker doesn't always look brilliant, but he doesn't expose himself to half the unnecessary risks Wilder does, nor let himself get tagged by some of the stupid sh!t Wilder does. And even when he gets tagged up he's quick to back off or fight back as the situation demands. The things that other fighters occasionally exploit in Joe, his easy to read rhythm, his vulnerability to counter shots or come forward aggression, aren't things that Wilder has the skills to exploit himself. And whatever physical and stylistic advantages he has will be negated by the ridiculous lump of grey matter residing between his ears.
So that's why Parker KO's him? Because Wilder had the chance, but did not? You really need to stop with these stupid threads. We know your more toll than serious, but give it a rest....
Wilder is like Adrien Broner before he got found out. Back then people were ascribing all sorts of hyperbolic nonsense to Broner's chances vs various fighters whom we now know would beat his ass. The same thing is happening with Wilder now, only the warning signs are even more glaring. Once this fraud gets found out I guarantee threads like this will be bumped as evidence of how clueless everyone was.
I actually think Parker has a decent chance. The way Wilder fights wouldn't push Parker onto the back foot where he is less effective and Wilder on the back foot is far less effective than most think. Wilder's style will allow Parker to be the aggressor and with Parker's speed advantage he could very well beat Wilder to the punch, which Wilder isn't used to. Wilder tries to use his height and reach which is wise but he's at his most effective when he can plant his feet and fire which will suit Parker as he is also at his best when he can plant his feet. When he is forced to box off the back foot he has only looked good vs the much shorter Stiverne and the very crude and shot Arreola. In other fights when he has fought more on the back foot like Szpilka and Washington he is forced into defensive positions where he can't fire back due to poor balance and positioning when trying to evade punches. In those two fights when he decided to stop moving and plant his feet and be the one to push his opponent back, he suddenly took control of the fight, but that will be harder to do vs the faster Parker. So if Parker can be the one to get off first he can force Wilder back and pressure him and make him look disorganised. But the danger is of course Wilder can hit hard and Parker does have a bad habit of standing into front of opponents which could cost him dearly should Wilder land flush.
There's actually FEW pro boxing analysts when picking fights I take seriously... Hasim Rahman is one of them he's very smart and actually analizes the fights a bit more than others for whatever reason.... Just caught his prediction of Parker vs Joshua and he states Parkers chances are slim and none and slim is OUTTA HERE..looks like my 10% is actually generous. Now that's the Joshua fight but I'm applying the logic here BC Wilder can hit and will hit parker. I'm not so sure its a good match for Parker.
Weird. I disagree with pretty much everything you said. Parker is more effective on the backfoot. His inside game is abysmal. The Ruiz, Takam, and Cojanu fight illustrate this well enough. Parker tried to stand toe to toe with Ruiz, who is garbage, and was losing until Parker gave up and went back to his forte (outside boxing). Parker's best win, against Takam, was all outside boxing. And an abysmal fighter like Cojanu gave Parker tons of trouble by just being being rangier. Really, Hughie should've beaten Parker, but Hughie focused too much on negating Parker and ended up not doing anything himself. Wilder is very effective off the backfoot, just jabbing away. You only say he's better coming forward because he needs to come forward to get those big KOs, but Wilder is most effective at winning rounds on the backfoot. He only struggled with Szpilka because Szpilka used so much upper-body movement that Wilder lost his jab, which he needs in order to line up his right. Anyway. I give Parker almost no chance of winning. The only chance Parker has is that Wilder enjoys giving up rounds going for big KOs, and Samoans are known for their unyielding chins.
I believe they all have the power to knock each other out, Joshua, Parker and Wilder, they can all punch hard.
This is a tough pick for many reasons. Wilder is such a wild card with his power but so unproven at the same time.
You're right that Parker isn't an inside fighter, but he isn't at his most effective when being forced to constantly move and reset when forced back that's why he struggled so much with Ruiz Jr. Parker is at his best when he can just stand there with his feet set and throw his combinations. If you watch him in recent fights, he isn't at his most effective on the back foot and countering, because he doesn't counter. When he's on the defensive and moving he has no offence because he doesn't counter punch. He's effective when he stops moving and sets his feet and lets his hands go in combination. I agree he struggled with Szpilka's body movement, he was made to flinch and react to it, which made him too cautious and defensive. When Wilder is on the back foot and slipping shots he puts himself in to bad positions, which is why I say he isn't as effect on the back foot. Like Parker he's at his best when he can set his feet to punch. Now just because I say these guys are not effective on the back foot, doesn't mean I'm saying these guys are at their best coming forward, that's not what I am saying at all. I'm saying both like stationary targets that don't force them to move their feet, because when forced to move Parker as no offence and Wilder is off balance and out of position. In the Szpilka and Washington fights, I couldn't help but notice that as soon as Wilder stopped backing up and set his feet, held his ground he was far more effective. Against Washington he struggled so much because he was being pushed back by the jab he was reacting to it, move his upper body into bad positions where he couldn't reply. But when he stood his ground the KO came pretty soon after, same in the Szpilka fight. Had he done this earlier in both fights he would of KO'ed them sooner. I favour Wilder to win, but think Parker can make it a competitive affair. Mainly because I think Wilder will allow him to come forward and much like the Washington and Szpilka fights will look disorganised at times on the back foot. But just like those fights at some point Wilder will set his feet to punch and when he does, he'll likely over power Parker. But it won't be as easy as with Szpilka and Washington because of his hand speed.
Parkers defense is swiss cheese...look for total rehaul in his camps outlook when Joshua defeats him. Wilder if anything is a mover, Parker as is would make the fight far to easy for him even if he doesn't take many hard flush power shots BC his accuracy is not that good. There's more that Parker does wrong that the longer Wilder would exploit. On top of that we really don't know how Parkers chin is BC he hasn't fought a proven puncher and Wilder is going to land on him. Maybe a year ago , Parker had more punchers chance....Wilder seems to have realized maybe he's not as good as he was lead to believe and has tightened some things like direct punching up .
