AJ was the bigger catch and Parker was his mandatory. It was the better fight to make. But we had to settle for less. Altho it was good to see where Ruiz stands in the division.
Yeah I know, it's up to Wilder now. Wilder has stated in the past that he wants to unify the bouts so now Parker is answering his call. Basically we're just waiting on Wilders camp, I don't know if he even knows that Parker is offering or what the story is but we can only hope Wilder accepts the challenge. After that, I hope they make it a double header with Wlad vs AJ on the same night!
I doubt Wilder wants to take on someone as good as Parker this -soon- and his title holding era Lol It would be a good step (up) for Wilder, but I doubt he will take it. I think Wilder want to milk the belt for a lot more money against weaker opposition for a while yet
Parker - Wilder is a big Vegas bout. Wilder has not had that before. It gets him respect and attention. Should be a big fight in the USA. Good money in it.
geez these people saying Parker ducked AJ.... Bring on Wilder I reckon, that would be a great fight. They say Parker gets hit too often but let me show you some pictures... Parker (in the ring after Takam fight): http://e1.365dm.com/16/03/16-9/20/joseph-parker-kevin-barry-boxing_3424933.jpg?20160302165425 Wilder (post Duhaupas): http://cdn.newsday.com/polopoly_fs/...e.JPG_gen/derivatives/landscape_640/image.JPG I know fights aren't won on how much damage is on the face of your opponent (maybe TKO 6)....but Duhaupas is a limited fighter, compared to Parker.
I still like how much people say Ruiz beat Parker up all the way through, looked at least as fresh as the pic in your link and Ruiz looked like he'd had a hiding
Povetkins been lined up for awhile now, hasnt it...almost a year. I dont know about either of those (Povetkin or Stirverne part 2) but I do know Parker/Wilder would be a unification bout which is usually the highest order and normally trumps any other title defence. Its the best of the best!
