Would be good if there was a system to retroactively assess poor decisions, but nothing with come of this.

How can you prove Parker's performance diminished because of a head clash and not a punch or a lack of conditioning?

They should introduce a VAR like review system for incidents like this. The point deduction from the count should have been withdrawn between rounds since nobody was able to see the butt until the replay.

They are scrambling big time. The management team must feel they simply have to do something or Parker can easily fire them/replace them.

These kiwis are embarrassing themselves. They don't know much about how boxing works yet they know enough to know that a dodgy kd is no grounds to have a decision altered. Even if in the hypothetical of the decision being altered Whyte would lodge a counter claim against the 2 judges whose scores would have made it draw in a fight where he won 9 rds. This is sour grapes. Their guy was beaten by the better man on the night.

The horse has bolted. The ref got the call wrong but you can hardly blame him. No-one else saw the head-clash until the replay. The first sign that it was a head-clash came when Dillian Whyte grabbed his own head at the end of the round going back to his corner. It hurt him as well.

Parker's management might feel like they need to do something if Parker starts asking questions like "why was I fighting in the other guy's backyard coming off a loss?"

Parker deserves a rematch with Whyte.

He was robbed on the cards clearly. I do not say the Whytes win was a robbery but if you have three scorecards like that

    114-111 WHYTE

    115-110 WHYTE

    113-112 WHYTE

and one Knockdown was a bull**** knockdown where Parker was winning the round before,

the fair scorecards without the BS knockdown would be

    113-113 DRAW

    114-112 WHYTE

    114-112 PARKER

    === DRAW in the end.

    FACT.

And we are only talking about one round. We don't know how the headclash affected Parkers performance from Round 3.

If Whyte has balls he is gonna fight Parker II at the end of the year.

This. A very bad look for Parker. Parker had 12 rounds to win the fight, but couldn't get the job done. Parker needs to admit defeat and make some changes such as getting a better team and being more determined in the ring, since Whyte clearly wanted the win more and proved it in their match. This makes Parker look like a sore loser.

if you'd have said "Whyte won, period", i'd agree, but it wasn't "fair" per se, was it? Having said that, i don't see what they think this is going to do. they should be focused on rebuilding Parker and improving the areas he needs to.

As someone who has experienced a few head clashes is sparring, i can say that the effects dissipate fast.
But then again i have never been knocked down via one.

From the replay to me, it looked like a balance issue. Perfectly timed headbutt. (not saying Whyte did it intentionally)

But it definitely messed with the scoring.

It’s a bit ****ing late. They should have gone mental and complained about this after the fight and immediately at the post fight press conference. Now the fight coverage has completely died, the media won’t care and they’ve basically missed the boat. Zero momentum in this appeal. They are total ****ing amateurs.

The first knockdown was of course not a knockdown but i don't think it was intentionally by Dillian Whyte, such
things happen in almost every fight, Takam and Parker did the same with Joshua although it didn't result in
a knockdown. I had Whyte winning the fight 114-112 and didn't count the first knockdown, so the knockdown
didn't make a difference imo. The cards from the judges where too close in my opinion.

Whyte was jabbing his head off for the most time of the fight and Parker was way too passive, you can only
score the fight for Parker when you pretend something like a jab wouldn't exist.
