i know, i agree, i saw it the same as you, Parker just wasn't good enough after the first 2/3 rounds, and he doesn't appear to be learning from these defeats. But the judges scorecards are what we have to go by when it comes to a result, and if they didn't count the headbutt, the fight finishes a SD draw.

Yeah but those results would only happen if you deducted a point from Whyte for the knockdown, which wasn't going to happen because it is accidental, not on purpose... you dont deduct a point so easily until repeated warnings, or in exceptional circumstances where the opponent has really done something blatant and extraordinary.

So if the knockdown was counted the round would be 10 -8 to whyte

but you are making it out to be 9 10 to parker for a point deducted from whyte and no knockdown registered. That's bull****.

If the knockdown didnt happen it would be 10 - 9 whyte imo, and he didn't do that on purpose.

No fighter would headbutt in a fight like this on purpose as you risk cutting your own skin.

This. His team are complete amateurs. If they were going to protest why wait several days after the fight is over. It reminds me of when Joe Louis Knocked out Buddy Baer by punching him after the bell. Baer's team immediately raised complete H**l and demanded that Louis get disqualified. The ref offered to restart the match, but Baer's team refused and used the public pressure to forced Louis to give Baer a rematch.

This will go about as far, and be about as well received as Mick Hennessey saying he would want Shades of Ali's loss to Parker completely overturned.

Higgins should simply be focusing on getting Parker a smart route back to title contention. Chisora probably wouldn't be a bad shout. Yeah the BS knockdown changed what would have been a draw into a UD but **** like that happens occasionally. Parker can definitely consider himself unfortunate but until we see some kind of VAR system then things like this will continue to be part of the sport, however seldom. Higgins himself, in a short interview between rounds, said he was unsure whether the knockdown was legit or not.

Why didn’t Parker detest during the fight? Parker is the new Khan. P4p #1 most sympathetic figure in the sport. The guy is just a mediocre competitor. And no, there was no robbery.

I see idiots are giving him credit he doesn’t deserve again. He was out-worked. Out-grited. Whyte wanted it more. Parker’s best case was Whytes gas tank and that last KD in the 12th was more so Whyte just wanting a rest. Yes I understand that right hand hurt Whyte but you can literally see him go down on his own accord to avoid getting KOed.

If Parker was half of what you guys say he is, he would’ve got that very attainable victory in the 12th. It’s a case of a day late, dollar short. Stop talking up Parker please. I’m tired of these participation awards people give him.

Whyte hit Parker with a headbutt, Wilder lands most his punches on the back of the head, Joshua tends to punch after a call to break by the ref, Wlad lent down too much and for too often, we could go on and on and on and thats just heavyweights. Its honerable that Joseph Parker goes through his fights and has got this far whilst being as clean as a whistle but at the end of the day this is a fighting game, they are fighting. You need to be ready to be dirty, fight fire with fire and push the rules and the refs patiance to its max at times. You need to have a ruthless streak.

I know a headbutt, accidental or not, can completely screw you over in a fight. I dont know how successful their appeal will be but good luck to him but this is not the answer, Joseph Parker needs to become more than he is.

That's a bit unfair, I think Parker is learning, and he fought a different fight to AJ, he just came up short with Dillians style.

He's young and promising and I'm sure he'll be back for some exciting things. I mean he has the most durable chin in history man.

Well the that could be said for any competitive sport really, dirty tactics are employed wherever it is possible, all around the world. Parker is a genuinely timid, nice guy. He wants to fight clean, because he's young like that. 26 yr old kid. Give him a few years he'll come around to getting with the "program"

There is a simple solution and that is to rematch Whyte so we get a conclusive victor.

It is, its every sport at a competitive level. Its never guna go away, every advantage is sought out and used to get results. I hope Parker does wise up, like ive said i totally admire his honest fighting, ive played alot of sport in my time and i really didnt want to cheat and usually didnt but i was asked to plenty of times, it was recomended and encouraged. But it doesnt get you very far when everybody else is doing it.

Youd have to be a cold guy to not like Parker. And he really is a good Boxer its just that his natural talent is supressed under a very basic style of fighting and i think thats the thing that needs immediate attention. Im surprised he hasnt got to grips with being a little dirty considering the circuit he cut his teeth on. Im sure there must be some rough ****ing hard men fighting the New Zealand scene.

They should have gone ballistic on the night of the fight, now it's too late.

I'm certainly not in the camp that says Whyte won fair and square. He didn't.
The referee did an awful job throughout. Whyte was allowed to foul repeatedly without any points deductions. That's just a fact. Whyte's team had said they'd fight dirty before the fight, which was a real smart move, because it desensitized all the viewers and the referee to the volume of fouling they employed.
Everyone was expecting them to fight that style, and I'm sure the strategy was to foul as much as possible until a point is deducted and then ease off.
But the referee never grew the balls to actual deduct a point.

    Terrible refereeing.
Not exactly fair and square, in my opinion.

I'd watch it again but Dillian doesn't seem to do close fight with public interest in a rematch fights does he?

The outcome will not change. A rematch can be ordered but the result is final. The only way this gets overturn is if there was some blatant cheating.
