He should have tested different weight when he was fought someone like Andy Ruiz not when the belt is on the line.

It didn’t really help Wilder or Fury either. In fact Wilder’s game plan for Fury 3 would have been better at a lighter weight.

There is very little benefit to carrying extra weight. This isn't sumo. Stamina, speed, and skill is king in boxing. Size is an advantage in terms of reach, but carrying extra weight has almost no benefit.

He looked massive. He didn't look bad. It just didn't work out for him. People are making too much of it. He went for the KO hard, so it's not like he bulked up and then decided to play it safe. Had he done that, yes, what a waste. But he went for it, and Wardley was able to take it. Nothing to cry about. It didn't work out.

Parker is not some master boxer.

Even when Parker was lighter he was losing to the likes of Whyte and having razor thin close decision vs H.Fury, Chisora 1.

I don't get where all this comes from that Parker made a mistake with the weight.

Parker was doing well he was ahead on the scorecards the issue was he didn't have the survival instincts at the end by clinching or taking knee which gave the referee no option.

Parker showed a very good jab in the 1st round but Wardley countered him and then made Parker hesitant to use the jab.

Even if Parker was lighter he would still be caught by Wardley's counter right hand. And being lighter probably isn't beneficial to taking huge bombs from Wardley.

They lose more in ability to avoid than they gain in ability to absorb.
And avoiding is always smarter than absorbing anyway.

Parker fought the wrong fight and it cost him. Gassed himself out.

Cocaine for weight loss isn't discipline. Even losing it isn't discipline. Never having the extra weight in the first place is discipline.

Maybe he believes its easier for him to hold his feet more at this stage meaning he knows hes going to get tagged.
