Boxing is the Freddie Kruger of sports. Give it some time and through the nightmares of real boxing fans watching youtube street fights, will again revive & come back to life! I've lost count of how many "This is the end of Boxing" moments have occurred.
I'll bet you thought Manny Pacquiao fighting Antonio Margarito at a catchweight for his '8th title in 8 divisions' was legitimate, and all of Pac's casual fans were 'great for boxing' though didn't you? If anything is killing our sport its the ridiculous Max Kellermen prefight 24/7 culture. It's the one thing i blame mayweather for. Makes fighters come across as whiny, self centered millennials. Back in the day you didn't need crap like that to sell fights.
Boxing will exist, but people will stop watching Canelo fights very soon. He already has a terrible reputation and losing views/popularity very fast.
Anybody but him. If a convicted cheater gets the award boxing will take a big hit. It will be a corrupt sport officially.
