Pascal/Dawson looked suprisingly liked Jones/Tarver!!!

Where did you watch the fight?

I can't find it for nothing..

 

They replay them on HBO throughout the week.

Hell noooo ... it reminded me of judah vs spinx 1 ..dawson could've taken over but didn't fight till round 11 ... pascal fought a good fight but dawson didn't try tillthe 1th

I know that ... I going by the way the fight went ... judah (dawson) clearly better but didn't fight enough ... made some mistakes where spinx (pascal) countered nicely... judah (dawsom) stepped up late and almost got the knockout after diggin themselves in a hole earleier .. but it was too late

Tarver vs jones 1 was back and forth and jones won by decision and deserved it ... it was a close fight but jones won it late in the fight ...pascal won it early ...no similarity there .. and jones taver 2 ... "down goes jones!!" = None there .... jones tarver 3 .. tarver was ahead the whole fight and almost knocked roy out again ... so I really dontsee the similarity

 

The styles used were very simular. I was thinking more like hopkins vs tarver with dawson being more effective then tarver was and pascal being more explosive and superficial than hopkins was.

I disagree and I'm not being a ***** about it. Pascal found success by leading and rushing Dawson, working in bursts of activity with effective combination work. Jones always looked to counter against Tarver and rarely committed himself to anything. It may have been more like Jones vs. Tarver if they had met in their respective primes.

 

Ummm.. jones and pascal have a similar style? How? ... pascal is a decent fighter and from what I saw looked nothing like jones style wise ... jones was very stylish .. pascal was very awkward ... pascal showed some speed but nothing like jones ... dawson up until the 11th fought more like jones (washed up jones) .. where he lands some nice **** and seemed satisfied with it ... as for tarver and dawson they have different everything other than tall and southpaw ... dawson is a combo puncher and tarver is more of a counter/power puncher ... tarvers combos were like a bunch of slaps and dawson turns his punches ... tarver parried a bit more and dawson uses upper body movement ..

 

Yes but Pascal is way better than Jones or even Tarver, should be top 5 p4p at least.

 

Wow ... I disagree completely ... he's ok ... honestly dawson shouldn't have lost that fight ... he didn't fight and it cost him ... simply put pascal fought his best fight and dawson fought @ like 50 60% and still almost won ... I credit pascal for the win... beautiful stradegy but he is a good solid fighter .. that's it .. to say he is better than tarver is debatable ... to say he is better than jones is ridiculous ... jones is an atg .. enough said ... prime jones beats everyone in todays era
