I honestly agree with this. Pascal got intimidated thats why he tried to look aggressive coming after Bhop at the end

  2. Hopkins is one of the most overrated fighters in history. He's boring and a cheat. He has shown himself to be an absolute disgrace to the sport in recent fights. He should have been disqualified against Calzaghe and Jones for his antics. I'm sure we'll see more of it tonight (not that I'll bother watching this drama queen). Hopkins is tedious both in and out of the ring. I hope Pascal kills him.

Heres how I am breaking it down:

Jean Pascal is very hungry, is determined and wants to remain champion, he's gonna try and make a fight out of this and make the old man spend more energy than in his last few fights. This however, is BOXING not FIGHTING, Bernard Hopkins is a rugged BOXER, he'll slide side to side and pop Jean with short clean punches, Jean will make his odd rushes and Hopkins will get out of the way laughing.

In short, Jean Pascal is a novice in comparison, he's bound to look like an amateur against someone who is smart enough to stay away from his odd rushes. I am more than sure Hopkins will yet again take a young novice to school.

Calm down cowboy, you view boxing as some sort of barbaric sport where people fight. Yes, it can be a fight, it can be guts and glory, but with Hopkins you won't get that, you'll get a boxing lesson, plain and simple. Hopkins buying valuable time against Calzaghe was masterful, against Jones he kind of agitated me aswell, I have to agree. But on the other hand, that fight wasn't just boxing, it was a mental game between two veterans with a bitter history behind them.

Ok...look man I'm not saying he won't beat Hopkins, Hopkins is 75...I mean...45 years old, but it doesn't change the fact dude is extremely fortunate to be in this position and he has yet to demonstrate that he is in any way elite. Beating Chad Dawson would be an awesome win, had he not looked like complete **** doing it, and had it at least went the distance. He won on a technical decision, and looked as if he was going to get KO'd. I mean, I respect any professional fighter, don't hear what I'm not saying, but dude is not very good at this point and it wouldn't shock me at all for Hopkins to work him over. He fights at Hopkins pace as is, he's not a huge puncher, he doesn't have a great defense, and I think he basically plays into Hopkins (who is limited as this age in his own right) wheelhouse.

So is this the thread we come back to bump after Hopkins schools Pascal? Interesting to see so many say that Pascal got the better of Hopkins. In actuality - Hopkins was as cool as a cucumber while Pascal was jumping around and trying to show that he wasn't intimidated - which shows he is in fact intimidated by B-Hop.

Ok so if he looked like a complete **** beating Dawson, I guess Dawson looked even more shittier... He only lost against Froch in an intersting fight who, himself is a champion who basically ended Taylor career, the man who beat Hopkins 2 times.

Pascal got athleticism, great speed, good chin and alot of heart. I think it will be more than enough to beat Hopkins tonight.

I clearly see yout dont like Pascal but stop talking about him like he was a garbage fighter. He is not lucky, he earned is title.

Yes Dawson did look "more shittier" than Pascal, but it doesn't mean that Pascal didn't look like ****. I don't deny his athletic attributes, I can't call it on his heart (not saying he doesn't have heart, but not ready to say he does either). I'm not talking about him "like" he's not very good, he isn't very good, and he is lucky to have his title...in my opinion.

He is no more lucky than the other titleholder. He is the man to beat at 175 lbs.
