Pascal-Kovalev face off

The whole event will start around 1:45AM your time with Kovalev fighting sometime after 3:30 is probable.

 

I think the broadcast starts at 1:45 am over here but I'm not sure what time Kovalev and Pascal will be out. The broadcast is scheduled to end at 5:00 am so I reckon it won't be on until around 3:00 am, maybe earlier or later. Don't hold me to that though.

I think Kovalev is the one who deserves the most credit here he's taking a massive risk taking all three of his belts on the road to fight Pascal in his backyard where everything will be in Pascal's favour. How many unified world champions would do that, never mind ones who hold three belts? Pascal is getting the opportunity to pick up three belts in one fell swoop in his own backyard.

Kovalev has fought Cleverly in Wales, B-Hop in the US (as well as numerous other Americans over there), and now he's fighting Pascal in Quebec in front of 20,000 partisan fans, 99% of which are probably rooting for their boy, and if he gets past Pascal he'll probably be heading back over there pretty soon to face Stevenson in his backyard as well. How many world champions or unified champions can you think of who would do that again and again? There's a good reason why so few do or would even contemplate doing such a thing at this level, never mind doing so over and over again. Kovalev is absolutely fearless.

I'm actually worried about tonight's fight mainly because of the law of averages of Kovalev keep taking these risks by fighting in his opponent's backyard/countries. I think it's a really big ask for him to be able to go into Cleverly, B-Hop, Pascal and Stevenson's backyard/countries and go 4-0. If he does manage to pull that off he's even more badass than he's proven himself to be so far.
