Kovalev ducking Stevenson? As far as I'm concerned, the pimp signed with Haymon to make sure to fight on Showtime and duck Kovalev at the same time. The amount of trolling on this forum is insane.
Kovalev will take his soul. Pascal is athletic but that's his only edge. Kovalev has way more boxing ability and ring IQ. He will work his body and tire him out just like Old Hops did. I don't see Pascal outslugging him and I certainly don't see him outboxing him to a decision win. Kovalev late TKO
I`m starting to get pretty ampted about this fight! I`ve been looking forward to it for a while and will be flying into Montreal to check it out live. The biggest thing that worries me for Kovalev is the lack of head movement. Allegedly GGG KO'ed him in sparing and he was KTFOed a couple times in the amateurs as well. But despite this I still make him the favorite. Pascal does his best work against come forward hookers. At first glance you might confuse Kovalev for exactly that but that isn't his game. Kovalev is a lot like Froch in that he has a long game and can fight inside. He throws lots of good straight punches and has a very very hard jab (he broke Agnew's ribs and knocked him down with a Jab....that was badass). He`s also a good combination puncher and has good balance. According to his strength and conditioning trainer Kovalev isn`t as bulked up for this fight as he has been for others. Instead they`ve chosen to focus on speed. Pascal throws a lot of wide looping shots. They will be trying to beat Pascal to the punch with straight shots. I think if Kovalev can punch with pascal there is a chance of a early to mid rounds knockout. Pascal basically has to limit the action and make it a sharp shooters fight. Same as he did in the Chad Dawson fight. At thirty two and against a puncher he`ll be hard pressed to do that. But I hope he can. I might put some money on Pascal if the odds are good enough. But I'm expecting a close Kovalev win by UD. Eitherway I'm just hope for a good fight....and that I can get a picture with Roy Jones at the weigh-in or something:good
GGG hurt him to the body when he was out of shape, and to my knowledge he was never KTFO in the ams, just dropped a few times, supposedly he got back up after Atoev dropped him but the video didn't show that.
Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev will outpower the musclebound French Canadian and pulverize him into a battered piece of meat After it people will be calling Kovalev Top 5 P4P. His real place shall be number 3 behind JMM and GGG I can see Pascal getting stunned then experiencing alien abduction again like he did against Lucian Enjoy the fight :good
Okay, cool, good to know mate:good I don't follow the sport like I used to so I'm not as up on all the gym romours and what not as I was when I was several years ago when I was on here all the time. Thanks for the info:good
Pascal lost to an ancient relic in B-Hop. You can't lose to an ancient relic no matter how good he was in his prime.
While I don't think Kovalev belongs on the P4P list for wins over a 50yr old Hopkins, Nathan cleverly, along with Pascal if he wins( most likely) he is a good fighter and I will enjoy the fight. Jean Pascals last good win was Dawson which was like 4-5 years ago. He has since beat Bute which isn't all that great after seeing how Bute fights now compared to pre Froch. He lost to Hopkins arguably twice and has a lost at SMW to Froch. He isn't some great fighter that is going to propel Kovalev into the P4P list.
