We learned yesterday that Pascal had left GYM. http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=513142 According to GYM, Pascal wanted 50,000$ more for his fight against Cloud for his training. He asked that money after they agreed on the money and gave them, thru his manager, an ultimatum basically saying: "give me the money or there is no contract". GYM then said, fine, non contract then. And they said yesterday in the media what just happened. First, Pascal said he didn't ask more money and that GYM were trying to make him look like the bad guy. Meanwhile, GYM said that Beterbiev could fight Cloud instead (obviously putting pressure on Pascal). So than today Pascal said that he wants back in the group, fight Cloud, without the 50,000$ he asked for his training... Basically saying he was lying.:yep Anyway, I wish him good luck and hope he get that fight. He bluffed, and lost big time. A little funny. But at the end of the day, it the fighter who risk his life in the ring, I don't judge for trying to get the more money they can! Props to Pascal for being such an entertainer in and outside the ring.:thumbsup
Sure they deserve good coin, but they choose to do it. He can go do something else. Furthermore, he already agreed to the terms, can't renege on the contract.
It's official now : his promoter does not want him back. Pascal "gambled" to have a bigger paycheck (he asked 50k more for a fight against Cloud), threatened to back off, actually did back off, then when he realized his promoter would not give him his 50K, decided to come back. But it was too late... His promoter does not want him back. Crazy story!
Dude lost a fight and his promoter over $50,000! :rofl His purse for the Cloud was going to be 1 million dollars plus 70% of the revenues generated by the event. :admin But I guess that wasn't enough. He wanted an additional $50,000 for his training expenses. :-( What a ****ing ******. His promoter called his bluff and now he's ****ed. atsch No other promoter will every give him that kind of purse for a stay busy fight. :deal
