I guess you didnt see the fight. The 'cards' don't tell you the entire story of the fight. Norman could have easily won another 2-3 rounds without question. It was a war where Pascal was never in control. Most of the fight Norman had him on his bike. This was a hand picked fighter that Pascal was supposed to dispose of quickly. Norman had been stopped before in Round 1 and Round 3 by nobodies. The 'shoulder' is the only excuse Pascal has for not having an easy night.
Not sure how you see it that way. Norman seemed like a fighter that comes out you and throws a lot. Defense not that great. How is Miranda much different?
Miranda has more power, is stronger but has Stamina issues unlike Norman, who throws more and has better footwork.
I just learned that Pascal is back to the 2nd place in the WBO rankings, just behind Brahmer. If Calzaghe moves up, Pascal's team might consider fighting Brahmer instead of Miranda.
I haven't seen Pascal yet, but Miranda is still overrated. The move up in weight won't translate into straighter punches or defense.
no, I saw the fight. I'm actually the one who provided the link to watch it. and I was on the round by round thread with a bunch of other people who saw the fight. Everyone who saw the fight agreed with the 8-2 scorecard. I notice you said you saw the fight and didn't realise Pascal wasn't throwing the right hand. I think you must be blind as a bat cause my dad watched the fight with me and that was maybe the 2nd time in his life he's ever watched boxing and he asked me at some point "Why isn't he using his right hand?" Anyone with half a brain could tell Pascal wasn't throwing the right hand and that he won a wide decision. get a clue.
Pantera gas out? If there is one thing Edison does not have it is stamina issues! The guy is a machine and only gets stronger as the fight goes on. He ran across the ring in Round 10 to try to KO Green with seconds left. When have you ever seen him tire?
He looked VERY tired in the 5th against Pavlik. Maybe he was weight drained but he will have trouble keeping up with Pascal's workrate in the late rounds and its unlikely he will win if the fight goes past the 8th.
