This content is protected http://www.rds.ca/boxe/chroniques/274188.html Its in french so the important parts you guys need to know are: - There is already a rematch planned if Pascal beats Diaconu. - Its possible that a third fight would happen if circumstances allow it - It would be the first time that two boxers based in the province of Quebec will fight for a title since Ouellet-Hilton (this one will be of course a bit bigger) So who do you guys have for this match? I am picking Jean Pascal by UD although I am not really comfortable with this choice since I don't know how he will handle Diaconu's style once the fight starts. Another quality fight near me! After Bute-Andrade and Holt-Bradley :bbb
Yeah has anyone ever seen him in there with a guy who fights like Diaconu does...well actually i guess you could argue the last guy he fought was fighting like Diaconu when he got KTFOed. Jean Pascal TKO 8
You left out one thing... At what weight? [Diaconu is light-heavy,,, Pascal super-middle] Either way I favor Pascal at this point. He's got height and reach advantage... and better all-around athletic ability, combined with speed and unorthadox skills. Diaconu has only fought 3 times in the last 3 years! WTF? The last one was an 8rd decision win vs some guy with a 10-7 record.
At LHW,it's for Diaconu's WBC title. Height and reach don't really matter cuz Pascal doesn't use them really and Diaconu is way adjusted to fighting taller guys because he's been fighting them basically his whole career.Plus he is physically stronger. The inactivity wasn't his fault.
I keep remembering the Hoye fight where he somehow got inside the 6'3 fighter and knocked him out. Wasn't he supposed to fight Gianluca Branco at some point though?
Yeah,he got in but I doubt he will get in threw Pascal that way. And no,not Ginaluca,he is the JWW who lost to Gatti and Cotto,he wa ssupposed to fight his brother,Silvio but it got cancelled because of Branco's promoter. The WBC gave him a optional defense in june.
Good point... Pascal bends down and falls in alot. But, Adrian's fault or not. I don't like the inactivity... pretty hard to stay sharp like that. It really is a toss-up at 175 for me. :huh:think
Jean pascal is a good boxer but he does mystifying things like trading with someone like Froch when he could have tried to box from a distance. I could see him getting tagged enough by Diaconu to cause him enough discomfort in this fight.
i think if pascal shows the defense he did against froch he might just get knocked out. either way im taking the shark in this one.
It depends of what shark we'll see on the 19th of june. If he's anywhere near his 2 last fights, Pascal will win easily. If he works hard and is motivated, it's a 50-50 fight for me. I have to think more about it, to find what could make the difference.
