I don't mind if you want the fight in USA. Only one judge was Canadian.

Team Hopkins has asked that all the judges be neutral if the fight is in Quebec. That's ok with me. Neutral doesn't equal US.

I'm glad to hear it's on. The last fight was a pleasant surprise. I think B-Hop adapts and puts up a UD. Too bad it's in Canada. Hopefully Bute's personal ref isn't involved.

    this remains pascal's to lose

if he can learn from his mistakes and improves his conditioning i believe he can outwork b-hop

thats a huge if though and hopefully it will be too big

    i'm up for hopkins

I agree with you. Pascal will win the early rounds. It's up to him after that. Pascal will want to block Hopkins bodyshots, which made him run out of gas earlier than usual. People tend to forget that after 3 rounds, Hopkins was looking very bad. Pascal was very comfortable. Pascal got then hit by big bodyshots, so big that it took him 2 rounds (6th and 7th if I remember) to recover from them. If he avoids those shots, he has a better chance to keep his speed for some rounds more. As long as Pascal keeps his speed, he'll win rounds, even if Hopkins will know Pascal from the start.

I'm sure Hopkins will win the last part of the fight. The middle part is what can change.

My opinion on his poor stamina is the amount of muscle he has combined with the fact that he generally only throws bombs. But i really do think its his muscle mass that makes him gas so early. Its just not needed in boxing.

And yes i know others have great muscle mass and get away with it, but he maybe has genetics where he needs all the help he can get with cardio, and his frame just isnt helping him.

    Just my thoughts.

I think you are right. Pascal worked very hard to try to improve his stamina with poor results.

Ignorance? Don't get your knickers in a twist. I'm not knocking him, I'm impressed with him taking a tough fight after a previously tough fight. And for the record, NO boxer always takes the toughest challenge available. To think so IS ignorance.

This will be a close fight again, Pascal will lead 4-2/1 then gas when hopkins will school him.
This will end in a 115-113 type or sd type decision in b-hops favour.

Well, I don't think his level of opposition has ever disappointed any of his fans.

I think that Pascal was the one pleasant surprise... He gave Hopkins the lead so that he could have used his fast hooks in counter mode style and thus stole Nard a chance to make Jean look bad missing and getting countered himself... He also stole Hopkins a decision by hitting him on the soft spot and dropping him. It depends, if Hopkins can score nice combos and tie him up all the time at that close range, it's Hop all the way, or else it's Hop chasing and getting tagged and results in the other way.

To be fair, Pascal had to fight Hopkins (order of the WBC) or Dawson (by contract). In fact Pascal has a very tough reign as a champion. He was in position to choose his opponents only once: he took Bernard Hopkins. All his other fights were rematches or mandatories. I give him credit for having taken Hopkins the only time he could have taken a break!

If Pascal is coming with the same stamina, Hopkins is gonna win easy.
He completely figured him out and Pascal needs a new strategy if he wants to win.
