Kovalev might get stopped. I don't think Sergey can stop Pascal but I do think Pascal can hurt Kovalev quite a bit who I perceive as a little chinny.

    Fantastic fight.

You dont think Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev can stop pascal? pull the other one. Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev can stop anyone in the lhw division, hopkins is just a defensive master and possesses a top chin. Pascal is not a good defensive fighter and when hes hurt wont be able to do anything about it. Did you see Bute vs Pascal, Lucien almost ended him. :hi:

I think Pascal was "playing" at the end of the fight. Pascal was not hurt. Plus, Pascal has a big left hook which comes like "a rocket", to take Hopkins word. I am not betting on Pascal, but he definitely has some tools.

He has got explosiveness but he would most likely get caught leaping in, and thats all she wrote. Sergey Kovalev would Ko him out 5-8.

You're right; I'd forgotten that wasn't part of the S6. (being that both participated)

Yeah, the Cobra blew up pretty fast. Up through Rybacki he was the UK's best kept secret, and then from 2008 until 2010 he shoehorned into the global public eye in the span of five contests - going 4-1 (1) against consistently world class opposition, although he only looked comprehensively dominant once, in the uncharacteristic display of pure boxing to outclass Abraham (Pascal was a close war though he clearly deserved victory, with Taylor he trailed on the cards before the last minute KO, Dirrell was and remains controversial, and Ward schooled him badly). Even so, that stretch is what made him a worldwide star - mainly due to his consistent pugnaciousness and willingness to get in with the best.

I don't think Kovalev can stop him. Kovalev couldn't stop Hopkins and at this point, I think Pascal's chin is more solid. Also, Pascal can actually inflict damage when he hits back which is why Kovalev won't commit to flashy flurries. I think he's hiding a weak chin.

    Pascal's chin is top tier.

    A top defence > A top chin.
and hopkins has both, Thats why he wasnt knocked out.

Pascal hasnt got the defence. He'd eat flush shots, and no one survives Sergey Kovalev's shot for too long. Hopkins rid most shots well, and took them on the temple and side of his head, not his chin, he had the skills and intelligence to hide that well. anyway we will see, Sergey KRUSHER Kovalev has one threat and its a fellow russian.

You're forgetting a couple of fights. From Pascal to Ward he was actually 7-2. Close loss to Kessler, and a semi final SS win over Johnson.

Funnily enough though it wasn't until after this people started to take notice of him in the UK (Sky was more interested in promoting Khan and Haye prior to this).

He signed with Matchroom before the Ward fight, so his first fight on Sky in the UK at a reasonable hour was the Bute fight where he destroyed him, walked through Mack, had the second Kessler war, then onto the Groves fights.

Kovalev is my new favorite fighter.

He'll fight anyone anywhere anytime. That's the embodiment of a real fighter.

Kovalev is only getting stopped for an autograph Pasacal is in serious trouble here ..It's not that far fetched for Jean to drop Kovalev but I don't think he could take his Kovalev's power ..
