Here are a little d' information. *** A problem n' l' does not wait; other for our promoters of Quebec After the difficulties to which InterBox faces in its negotiations with Lucian Bute, c' is now with the turn of the Group Yvon Michel to defray the cuffs with bad news. L' one of the heads d' post official reception of June 6 at the Stage Uniprix, Jean Pascal, will not take part more in this event. Wounded with l' shoulder again, the boxer of Laval will have to pass his turn. Joined by the Zone of Boxing on the telephone, the promoter Yvon Michel confirmed the withdrawal of Jean Pascal for his next chart. During a scéance of sparring Jean with again felt a pain with its shoulder. As soon as that arrived, it ceased d' to use its right hand and continued its camp in n' using qu' a hand explains the promoter. Jean will be of return to the country Sunday and it will pass from the tests Monday morning, continues Yvon Michel. He known as able to fight in spite of his wound but one saw with his last combat that it would not be an good idea. Questioned about the rumour wanting that the WBC wants to oppose its two higher candidates available if Denis Inkin and Carl Froch cannot s' to hear for s' to face in eliminatory combat, Yvon Michel indicated that n' no relationship with the situation present had. That n' is qu' at the stage of rumours, he explains. Jean would be well placed to make party of the selection if the other boxers are not available (note: It n' is preceded that by Mikkel Kessler, Jermain Taylor, Denis Inkin and Carl Froch) but this would be only for later in any event. We will await the results of the examinations before seeing what will occur with Jean. Yvon Michel let know that Sebastien Demers will take the changing of Jean Pascal. N' not having yet the contract signed in hand, the promoter preferred not revealed the name of l' adversary of Demers. this was the best translation i could get from bablefish. thought this might need posting
I'm disappointed about this, but having suffered from a torn rotor cuff myself, I think Pascal is wise to just stay completely out of the ring until he is 100%. It's a ***** of an injury, and takes a long time to heal.
Montreal chicks definitely > bay area chicks. One thing we could agree on. It's not very hard to beat the bay area though. Definitely not.
Pascal's been dragging that same injury since October 2007, that's been over 7 months. Injuries to the rotator cuff are often difficult to rehabilitate. Not convinced that fighting twice within a month, only 8 weeks after being injured was the wisest decision. Moreover how much of promoters' shortsightedness and motivation for short term profits and US tv exposure weighed in that decision is something that can't be overlooked. p.s. my pair of tickets to the event are now for sale...
Thats too bad, I was looking forward to watching Pascal get KO'd. And by the way, Miranda would easily beat Pascal.
