ok, so i did not see the wilder fight just highlights, but i must say the highlights looked pretty entertaining.. the fans were cheering their assess off...wilder tried to pull the RJJ jumping uppercut ala "streetfighter" and his victor dance at the end was awesome (no ****) this was entertaining stuff now compared this to floyd vs berto. people are captivated by floyd's TV personality and Money brand he created. this is marketing ingenuity. the other people who follow him are people who pay to see him lose. nevertheless, great marketing. but on both sides of the boxing debate, we have people who claim floyd is boring and want to see him fight. look floyd deserves his respect as a fighter, he is without a doubt the best fighter of the generation, FULLSTOP. but what troubles me is that a week later, deontay wilder, who may have not looked spectacular vs a non-ranked opponent puts on a pretty entertaining fight but yet seems to get massive criticism. boxing is corrupt but the other major problem with boxing are the fans. you can't have it both ways, you want a guy who is offensive an will fight or do you want a pure boxer who does not engage or dare to be great in the ring. cut deontay some slack and enjoy the victory dance. it was pretty funny
A good % of Floyd fans back Wilder, but aslong as Wilder keeps winning he has the potential to become bigger, because all it takes is reaching the mainstream Mainstream casuals will understand that he is on the same level as Mayweather or even better (because they saw Boxing fans criticism of Mayweather & casuals know this is part of boxing)
