Does anyone know if there is somewhere on this forum or on the internet where I can see all the past champions for every weight and every organisation? (Only interested in the 4 main belts - WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO) and the Ring? Thanks.
http://cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/pastchp.htm This covers the perceived-to-be lineals with some other claimants like NYSAC guys, and every other can be found on boxrec. Just go to, say, you want the WBO light heavyweight champions, Erdei's bio page, then click on the blue link toward the bottom where it says how long his reign was and it will list all the WBO light heavyweight champs, and number of successful defenses. They have that for each of the four main sanctioning bodies and all the divisions, you can find all the pages that way. I don't know of one page where they're all listed together completely though. Also for only Ring Champions: [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_The_Ring_world_champions[/ame]
In the world of CBZ Pavlik is still lineal middleweight champion, that's a world I can get behind . Seriously though that is a good set of lists they have.
This content is protected They're not what you would call "fast" when it comes to updates. You'd have to double check the recent fights from all the last guys on the list at boxrec to see changes of hands like Pav to Martinez, which are obviously cases that are clear and can't be disputed. There are other things like for recent and current guys, there's a lot of pussyfooting about. The last guy they all came together to put the stamp of approval on at lightweight was Whitaker. :? But as a historical reference, it's a pretty solid deal there.
