Or Buchanan V Laguna or even his fight against Velasquez in Spain . A massive underdog for both.

So, you don't think that Honeyghan destroying Don Currie was a massive upset? I agree with the fights you have stated, but for me Lloyd's win was totally unforeseen.

Maybe, I've got the meaning of this thread entirely wrong - it's happened before...

 

At the time of the Curry fight Honeyghan the undefeated, British, Commonweath and European champion and also ranked number 1 behind Curry by the WBC.

Honey-Curry was an upset but Honeyghan was no "Cinderella Man".

And to add to GazOC excellent points, if you were to call the Ragamuffin man a Cinderella story, then it would of been the huge upset of Rosi that caused it, not the Curry fight.

But as GazOC points out, Honeyghan was clearly very talented pre Curry, although a huge upset, Lloyd's was no Cinderella man story.

Nelson is truely an inspiration to many who think theymay have lost their first few fights (am or pro) and decide they just don't have it......that stubborn streak was a thing of beauty.
