Had the apprentice at work earlier today talking absolute dog **** to me and just generally annoying me so I drifted off into a boxing lala land and was thinking what were fights where a past prime great took on and lost to a fighter... But where even if that fighter was still at their peak you don't think they'd have got the win.

I'll have a big think on my list... Some that first came to my mind that I thought about were

    Ali vs Holmes

    Tyson vs Lewis

    Which jump out at you?

Im expecting alot of controversial picks here but that's the idea.. Should get good debates out of this

Prime Ali was a million miles away from the fighter that stepped in the ring against Holmes. I don't really know how it would play out but I'm sure the guys that frequent the classic board would have something to say on how differently that fight may have looked.

I agree with you on Tyson Lewis though. I think Tyson beats prime 90% of the opposition but against the very top he's giving too much away and would be taking too much punishment.
