Do any Brits seriously think Joe wouldn't get Ricky Hatton'd in everyone's respective prime?

These arguments are older and mustier than my gran's pantyliners.

Yes, Jones and Hopkins would obviously have outclassed Joe Calzaghe when all were in their primes.

    Next...

 How do you know I'm of a Fenian persuasion??

Peak Jones KO's Calzaghe after a stylistic domination, peak Hopkins comprehensively outboxes and outclasses him for a wide UD. There you go anyway.

I think joe is a good boxer but clearly the most overrated boxer of the decade.....frank warren deserves an award for what he did with joe....hatton atleast tested himself.....joe did twice and a old hopkins got a SD loss against him

    Ricky Hatton'd?

By that you mean he's decimated in a few rounds, or else he's more or less completely outclassed hardly picking up a round and then stopped late?

The latter is possible against a prime Jones, but IMO not probable. I see Jones on points.

    Certainly neither against Hopkins.

Whoever the judges award it to on the night. I believe you'd see the same mess 10 years ago as we saw on the night of the fight.

A prime Calzaghe would give both guys fits. Don't kid yourself, the guy is damn good, and fought both guys with glass hands, past his peak.

Who would you say was further from their prime?

Most would say Hopkins's was 2001, when the Taylor defeats, the number 40 and the stamina decline were all but tiny dots in the distance.

Many would say Calzaghe's was 2006-7, when he turned in a career-best performance to shut out Lacy then outboxed his best ever smw opponent, Kessler.

Calzaghe was just as good as he ever was in the Hopkins fight. Hopkins and Kessler are his best wins by far.....

Most Calzaghe fans even acknowledge these two facts as well.
