Good win for Le Banner. I think that knockdown won him the fight. He came out fast and looked very good for the first two rounds at least and he worked Spong over. I thought Spong did well to come back into the fight after the punishment he took in the first round and thought he won the 3rd. But he isn't big enough to be competing with these big Super Heavyweight guys. He needs to move down to Heavyweight and stick there imo.

Yeah it's a great win for Jerome and a great way to start the season, especially given the age difference. It's a good start to work his way up as he said he will stick to Chakuriki. If he can work on his stamina he remains a treat to any fighter out there. Spong has won everything in the lower weightclasses, but K-1 heavyweight is something else as it has no weight limit. Anyway, nice notch on Jerome his belt.

Btw did you see the Saki fight? That was a clinical torture!

Yeah, great performance from Saki. Took Jaideep apart. Really enjoyed watching it.

They should fight again but I think most people consider it a KO for Carnage anyway (at least I do).

Speaking of which , Carnage could be on the next It's Showtime card as Spong may be pulling out with a hand injury. A fight on a big card like It's Showtime would be great for him.

As a fellow ozzie im ofcourse going to talk up Carnage's fighting abilities.I wish he would fight MMA at light heavyweight.I feel he could be a big player in orgs like Strikeforce/UFC..

Even without ground training he would tear apart most top tier Lightheavies.

There's gonna be a K-1 GP in Australia this year, maybe they might put him on the card there.
