Pat Cowdell vs Salvador Sanchez

    Cowdell gave as good an account of himself as could have been expected against the great Sanchez.

    Cowdell took a lot of shots, often getting caught by Sanchez. Simply put, Sanchez was in a different league to Pat, & that's not meant to be disrespectful to Cowdell in any way.

    I rank Cowdell's effort against Salvador as one of the best by a British fighter. This fight is often forgotten when talking about great showing's by a British boxer.

    Sanchez though, wow, what a boxer he was. For a guy who was only 22, 23, he was highly experienced indeed. Big time fighter was Sanchez!
