The only bout listed on the BoxRec page for this event is Carrión vs. Scaringi, the main event - wondering if maybe it's the only pro match?

...whereas Scaringi has an Italian name (as we know, about two-thirds of Argentina's population are italoargentinos) which derives from a very old Norse patronymic and basically means "Descendent of the God Spear".

Based strictly off etymological analysis, you'd think Carrión was about to be made into vulture food in front of his entire hometown.

Scaringi wearing red and Carrión light blue...which is very confusing when you consider their respective national flag colors.

 

Round 1

Carrión is tossing lead rights up top, over and over, no jab. Scaringi circles and paws a jab, then wings hooks up top with both hands as Carrión cuts off the ring and drives him into the ropes. Scaringi lunging in low with body shots and getting chased out with a 1-2.

Carrión's record of 19-1 (4) has been built entirely on domestic soil, although he does now train in Florida. The one loss was a SD against then-unbeaten countryman Cristián Andrés Olivares González.

This is Scaringi's first time traveling internationally to compete, racking up his own 8-3 (3) record at home, mostly in his native Buenos Aires metropolitan area.
