This is getting pretty sad. Klismer needs to start considering stepping on the gas and finishing this. It's there if he wants it. Way too much respect being shown to a slow-as-molasses, vertically challenged and range-deficient opponent who doesn't seem particularly motivated anyway.

 

Interesting...before he became a fat wet blanket pro middleweight it appears Lourenço was a decent amateur welter. He beat the likes of Axmad Mamadjanov and Denis Radovan, and was scheduled to fight Esquiva Falcão in a national tourney but lost by walkover (forfeit due to no-show).

Patrick Alen Teixeira vs. Carlos Luís Rivera, 10 rounds @ middleweight

 

Brazilian southpaw - and former WBO interim super weltrer champ - Patrick Alen "Máquina de Boxe (Boxing Machine)" Teixeira debuted nine years earlier than and has a ½″ height and 1½″ reach advantage over right-handed Venezuelan opponent Carlos Luís "Caburé (Pygmy Owl)" Rivero.

They're competing for the vacant WBA middleweight Fedebol title. Rivero has never been in a contest scheduled for more than 6 rounds.

 

Round 1

Teixeira floats his right glove out, waving a jab down at Rivero, blocking a lazy right hand. Rivero is moving to his right, extending his left arm to play patty-cake with Teixeira's high waiting jab hand. Teixeira starts opening up a minute in with long sweeping body shots. Rivero with headhunting combos, everything sloping off the lowered right shoulder of Teixeira, who leans back to ride it out and then pitches forward to launch his own combination attacks. Rivero bouncing off the ropes, trying to time a solo straight right hand blast but not finding the mark. Teixeira jabbing and hooking into the air sloppily but backing Rivero up. Teixeira eats a couple of right hands walking in with his hands spread apart at his sides. Wide body shots falling in by Teixeira.

10-9 Teixeira, but fairly unimpressive form for a former titlist against an adversary without world level (or even international) experience.

 

Lol harsh criticisms in Poruguese from his countrymen in the YT chat. Someone just said that Klisman would beat Patrick. That's maybe going a bit overboard.

 

Round 2

Shoeshine flurries on the head and wrecking ball body shots by Teixeira. Rivero goes down a minute into the round. Teixeira continues pummeling the body and driving Rivero into the ropes with a nudging right jab in the face. Rivero down again, on all fours, clutching his side, not looking to be thinking about getting up. Ref gives him a couple more seconds' worth of counting before realizing there's no point.

There are now massive partisan arguments breaking out in the chat re: a hypothetical Patrick Alen Teixeira vs. Klisman Saber Simão match-up.

IMO that would be too big a step up in class for KSS anytime soon, but...to be honest Teixeira is pretty weak as far as former world titlists go, so it maybe isn't beyond conceiving that Klisman might be favored at some point down the line.
