Admittedly very little. I know he is the French light heavyweight champ and that he is taking a step up in his first defense. (Mohammedi gave Cleverly all sorts of problems, although his weak chin let him down in his two other showings on the big stage)

I've seen a few clips. He is a crowd favorite, with his big lean frame and blonde hair creating a classic Gaul look...and his style lends itself to excitement, as he's very willing to get bruised and banged up in order to land his as he likes to come forward despite not having much dynamite in his fists. It will be interesting to see how Bois deals with the awkward veteran. I can think of ways to spend a Friday afternoon that are far worse. (like...actually working :scaredas)

Ah, I thought it was going to be timed so the first bell rang about now.

Instead we are going to see ring walks and then possibly anthems. (or rather, anthem, singular, as both combatants are Frenchies...and so is the ref, which matters because yes, they sometimes do a national anthem just to honor the ref...:!

 

Mohammedi is walking out, looking very snazzy in his open black vest and matching bowler hat. Swagger, baby.

Despite being a visitor here in Bois' home region of Ardennes, they give Mohammedi a warm reception. (perhaps for having done French boxing proud on the international scene)

Actually, make that mixed reception...
