Patrick Kinigamazi vs. Jordan McCrory RBR

Kinigamazi lands heavy left crosses, which elicit a cry of "Magnifique!" from the commentators and coarser shouts from the crowd. Kinigamazi all-in boxing southpaw now, faking a jab and then hooking off it, circumnavigating the guard of McCrory with a little extra bend in his obliques, dipping rightward before firing. Nice straight body shots by Kinigamazi. McCrory like a deer in headlights, just tiptoeing around him, lobbing out light counter 1-2s. Nice right hook by Kinigamazi, but again he fails to follow up as McCrory either moves outside his range or else ties up after hacking in with a diversion windmilled right.

Round 9

Kinigamazi has returned to orthodox. This final adjustment seems to be the nail in McCrory's coffin, gradually carpentered and shined to a polish in the previous eight rounds. McCrory unable to avoid the straight 1-2 down the pipe, unsure now what to do with his feet relative to just a couple of rounds ago. McCrory holding both hands low and bowling them into Kinigamazi's sides, often illegally around the kidney, albeit probably not intentionally as McCrory seems incapable of precise aim in his current battered & exhausted state. McCrory tries converting some of his wide body combos into grabs around the waist but he lacks the strength to close the jaws of his trap shut, and Kinigamazi just steps free with a modicum of force and keeps banging him with the 1-2 flush on the mug.

Round 10

Big orthodox 1-2 by Kinigamazi. McCrory is continuing to hang in there, laboring to drag his left glove up the length of his thigh & chest and limply pushing out a counter jab as he circles away, more clumsily now, beginning to stumble over his own feet. Kinigamazi closes in with a natural predator's cautiously & guardedly but no less vicious determination to keep targeting a prey's wounded spot. 1-2 after 1-2 crashes into McCrory's face, but Kinigamazi doesn't bother jumping on him just yet, wasting energy on wild finishing combos, willing to bide his time until the next round...

Round 11

Kinigamazi throws a huge 1-2 past a lazy jab from McCrory, hurting the Scot badly. McCrory wobbles repeatedly on a single leg but always recovers his faculties & centers his balance instantaneously. Kinigamazi provides himself with plenty of finishing opportunities but he's too slow to capitalize and McCrory - just barely - too quick to react to allow it, either shuffling away (breaking at times into a sideways gallop, kicking his inner soles together incidentally) or grabbing. BIG STIFF LEFT JAB IN MCCRORY'S TEETH AND RIGHT CROSS ON HIS NOSE BY KINIGAMAZI. Somehow that doesn't end it. McCrory is hopping around, ducking, turning and putting up light side-arm jabs into the chest.

9th, 10th, and 11th could all have been 10-8 rounds even without a knockdown.

 

Round 12

McCrory gores Kinigamazi against the ropes, headbutting directly into his chest and pinning him with nothing but the boring-drill power of his own noggin. The ref VERY sternly warns him (already having given him a warning in the 11th). They break and Kinigamazi rakes a right hand down across McCrory's face, leaving him seemingly out for a moment on his feet, but McCrory wakes up and flops inward to hold on just in time. McCrory leaning on Kinigamazi now. They break and McCrory chops weakly across the gap with a right, then brushes Kinigamazi's hip with a left hook. Kinigamazi letting McCrory come to him, giving him several "free whacks", although McCrory does nothing but miss over and over as he attempts one courageous last surge pushing Kinigamazi into the ropes. Finally a counter 1-2 is uncorked by Kinigamazi and shakes McCrory to his core. They swap body shots from the clap until the bell, toe-to-toe.
